Hotel Riu Arecas - Adults Only

Nos encantó la atención, la habitación, el servicio de comedor muy amables, recepción, limpieza, servicio de toallas... Por poner un pero, el minibar no enfriaba y en la oferta no vi bien especificada la info de que las bebidas en la cena no están incluidas en la oferta. Las piscinas estupendas, especial mención a la Infinity pool a pesar de que no sabíamos que era en otra parte del complejo, con unas cuantas escaleras por medio. La tranquilidad del lugar es genial para desconectar. Repetiría seguro.

Good points Friendly & hard working staff, the rooms were clean with everything you may need. Lots of sunbeds around the pool and the buffet was good, not great but good. The lack of children is always welcome and there were good, inexpensive bottles of wine to buy in the restaurant. The service in the bars was efficient & friendly and the gardens were well maintained and beautiful. The maintenance personnel were excellent, our room fridge/minibar was broken & it was almost immediately replaced. Also, great after care by reception, who phoned us twice to check that everything was ok, much appreciated. Not so good There was no snack bar for lunch by the pool, you had go to the restaurant on the terrace, which was inconvenient. The soda water to go with my Campari was €3.50 extra, the same price as a large glass of wine in the restaurant! The room safe is charged at €8 a night, my advice is to just keep your valuables in your padlocked suitcase. The double beds are in fact 2 single beds, made up as singles, not very good for a romantic break! The hotel is situated up a hill off the promenade with some very steep steps, although it is a lovely walk down to playa Fanabe (just get a taxi back up!)

Lovely hotel, fantastic staff. Excellent food and Spanish Restaurant is a real treat. We even enjoyed the evening entertainment. Nice birthday treat from the hotel was a surprise. See you soon.

Our first visit to this hotel and it certainly didnt disappoint.This hotel is now a favorite ...The rooms were lovely bright and airy. Everywhere was spotlessly clean .Food was excellent.Staff amazing every member of staff were so friendly couldnt do enough for you from restaurant staff to pool attendants and cleaners outstanding staff. Plenty of sunbeds and shades.What more can i say about a first class hotel cant wait to return .

Had another lovely time at the Arecas. Stayed in a fabulous room and the views were incredible. Went with the whole family: husband and 2 sons for a special birthday. Everything at this hotel is great from choices of freshly cooked food to fabulous wines, spirits. Staff are the best. Location is peaceful but easy walk to main areas. Sunbeds are plenty and the pools quiet to read your book and just relax. There is a fridge in the room, a kettle and a hairdryer in the bathroom. Safe is payable (not much), pool towels are free. Finally big thank you for the kind bottle of sparkle and thank you too for making our holiday so memorable. xx

Return for another amazing holiday at this hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Great service. Entertainment every night which was very good apart from a last minute standin when the planned act was cancelled, which I guess can’t be helped. Good food from the buffet which changed daily. Would have liked an oriental night. We spent a couple of evenings in the Riu Palace across the road where you can pay for drinks and enjoy a lovely view of the sun setting. The acts are the same as the Arecas, just on different nights. The Spanish restaurant could do with more choice for the main course but still an enjoyable evening. Paying for the room safe as most other guests have said, is not good. Don’t pay at other hotels. This needs sorting. But sadly the hotel insist on this charge. We will return again. Hopefully not having to pay for the safe.

Everything is excellent about this hotel it is quiet with good swimming pools. The room is very nice and clean. The food is perfect. Even better than the last time we visited the hotel in 2023. Serving smoked salmon and caviar on several occasions at diner, and 2 mornings a week cava at breakfast is a plus. The food selection comes close to what is offerd at the Palace Hotels of Riu. The staff is very helpful and polite. The management is always around keeping an eye on things. Keep up the good work. Till next time...

The welcome from all the staff never changes from your first visit . We have visited here multiple times. There are so many people that revisit the Arecas. There are more fancy hotels in Tenerife but none with better staff. They always make us feel special and joyful in our return. Nothing is too much trouble. Thankyou all.

Beautiful hotel in the best part of Adeje as far as we are concerned. We had a pool view room overlooking the outdoor entertainment area. Probably better pool view rooms but we were hardly on it . Our room was spacious and spotless though I really hate those glass bathroom doors! No privacy lol. We found the food to be top notch and the drinks we ordered were massive lol ! Our favourite was the beach area . Heaven ! Though we did like both the upper pools with the submerged ceramic beds in the water. Only criticisms as mentioned before would be the no music round the hotel or pool. I think some soft relaxing music would make it feel more enjoyable overall , and the entertainment finished way too early but was very good . Our room cleaner was great . How she got that bed looking like that I’ll never know lol. And she also made the bathroom look like it had never been used ! Top hotel and very pleased with our choice . It’s a defo yes we would return .
