Las Caletas Village

Excellent villa, very clean and spacious. With everything you need for a wonderful family holiday for some peace and quiet. Villa came with all amenities that you need. The pool was lovely but very cold but once you're in, it's great. The barbecue was well used during our stay and there was a eurospar within walking distance with everything that you can buy. The beds are very comfortable and rooms are lovely. If you're heading into Costa Tequise, it's about 30 minutes walk or more. Shops and restaurants are about 20 minutes' walk. There is a brilliant cafe close by El Palmera, just above eurospar, which we enjoyed most days at breakfast or lunch. Taxis are very and there is a very good bus service aswel.

Villa very clean. Some beds are comfortable but some single beds are very uncomfortable and can feel the springs through, had to cover with blankets. Basement bedroom is awful. oppressing dark, described by our children as like staying in a prison cell. Fridge doesn't work effectively cost us a loss of food. Pool area good generally. The villas are a long way from the centre and beaches. Walking it is 1 hour at a quick pace. Nothing other than a spar near the villa. Must be able to walk if staying here. Partial Air conditioning only 2 of 4 bedrooms are not air conditioned. We had to move the beds out of the basement bedroom and 1 person slept in the lounge for 2 weeks, 1 child on a mattress on the floor. Villa struggles with hot water for 8 people. Cannot recommend. Dumped by transfer coach at night walked around for an hour looking for Villa, feel abandoned by jet 2, no visit from anyone without us going to a hotel to ask for help which prompted a rep visit. No storage for your suitcases so check flights back! ours changed twice after booking. Prebooked aircraft window seats, flights changed ended up in middle of plane no window seats. Used jet2 previously but won't use again. was advised by Jet2 rep to hire a car to store our luggage as 10 hours between time we have to be out of villa and changed flight times home. unexpected bill of €140.00 or told we could pay €65 per person to use the nearest hotel!

Villa was easy to locate (purpura) met my expectations, was massive, clean, tidy no complaints just a suggestion or 2. Safety with outside area when wet was a massive risk yes tehtes signs to warn of this however some rubber foot way mats would be very ideal, I was sure I was going to end up using my Insurance thankfully we didn’t. Someway of gating of the pool it’s rather close to the steps and with little ones it was challenging if I had to pop inside quickly I had get LO in and lock doors. Location isn’t very close to the main shops, there’s a eurospar about 7 minutes away along with a petrol garage. We used the eurospar it was reasonably priced. To get into town it’s roughly a 40-50 minute walk however a taxi is only 3-4€. The villas themselves are in a residential area on the complex however this wasn’t a big issue with myself it was very peaceful and relaxing. Swimming pool is a decent size kids went in it a few times due to it being cold and it got dirty quite quickly we noticed the filter was switched On daily at around 12-13pm to around 16-17pm daily which I feel should have been on at all times to maintain the cleanliness of the pool. Once the filter was off the pool got dirty from wind blowing stuff in, we found the water was warmer in the evening after warming up all day so would of been nice if it was clean at night we could of had a dip if we wanted to. Good food from Santa Rosa wok we ate at the Buffett a few times. Was well worth the price. Lunch was 12-6 15.75€ kids I think was 6.75€ Dinner was 6-11pm 17.75€ kids 7.75€ with plenty to choose from. Kitchen amenities was fine had all we need for the week in the Villa. Residential bins was a bummer to find we eventually located these out of the complex take a right and you will see them across the other side of the road And lastly checking out time is 10am! This was again another challenge as my transfer wasn’t coming until 7pm. I spoke via email to the receptionist who confirmed I could have the Villa for the whole day for a extra 150€ I wasn’t able to fund this so they did negotiate to 80€ with access to the Villa until 9pm. There isn’t anywhere to leave luggage so early check out with a late flight is very challenging. I would definitely wish to return with my family in the near future thank you las calestas village for having us for the week and helping us make wonderful memories

Great villa everything provided - great location. Pool was very cold but kids braved it _ thoroughly enjoyable holiday would deffo return - the villa had everything for adults and children they have thought of everything

Excellent villa spotless privacy 3 floors clean pool fully functioning kitchen laundry room..comfy beds in every room/ further up the road is plenty off shops bars and takeaways very close to the sea but a bit rocky..for a better sandy beach travle up the road about half a mile and there is sandy beaches.lots off night life .luckily we were located away from that so very peaceful.. taxi rides to and from most off the entertainment are very cheap.there is a aqua park about 5 minutes in a taxi and all sorts off excursions there is plenty off leaflets in the villa..we mainly stayed at the villa as the kids loved having the pool to themselves...

Great villa, had the wow factor as you walked in, air conditioning was great and the pool was bigger than we expected. The only thing for us was just that there wasn't enough around apart from the spar supermarket down the road. Costa teguise taxis are easy to get though a card with the number in the villa. We did go out and walk to Costa teguise in around 25 mins. Great holiday, great villa!! Don't hesitate to book

We stayed in Villa #62 in Playa Blanca which was a 5-bedroom villa and as there were 9 of us (6 adults 3 kids) the villa had more than enough room for us all! Upon entry, our jaws dropped as it was pure holiday bliss. The first thing we spotted was the fab pool (which is way bigger than in the pictures by the way!) and then a huge covered-over BBQ area with a table and chairs and then separate outdoor areas just off the Villa also! The Villa indoors was clean, spacious and modern. On entry level there were 3 bedrooms (one master room with a walk-in wardrobe, en-suite bathroom and safe!!) which was great for my elderly Mother. Marina Rubicon was only an 8-10 minute walk and it's so beautiful that we spent most our evenings dining there. There is a supermarket at the Marina and another bigger one the same distance but closer to Playa Dorada direction. We made many trips there (bring a suitcase for the walk back - a great tip I read from another review!) Playa Dorada beach is about a 12-15 min walk where there are more lively bars/restaurants and shops if you would like. The promenade there was beautiful also. We had a couple of small issues whilst staying at the Villa, but these were all sorted immediately when I emailed Cristina or Carla so no need to even mention them and just to say that we received a beautiful welcome basket with wine, fruit and muffins on arrival, an extra special touch! We loved it as it was so quiet and peaceful but at the same time the taxis did have some problems as they found it hard to find us! They had little or no idea of the villa's name/number! In the end we had to learn how to pronounce the street names the Villa was located on and that way they had no issue! We went to Aqualava water park one day which was so much fun, one thing to note here is that the bus collects from across from the taxi rank in Marina Rubicon and drops you at the waterpark but it doesn't bring you back in the afternoon so we had to get taxis back...just something small to note! I would definitely recommend this villa for big families/groups that aren't big into a lively nightlife, etc. and would love some peace and privacy while in the Villa. Everyone had such an amazing time and we can't wait to come back!

VILLA A1 - Av. Del Mar 1 - Las Caletas Village I did enjoy my stay at this villa, as did all the other guests however, there were some issues which made the experience not as pleasant as hoped. I have included a detailed breakdown of the villa below which I hope will help you to make your decision. To clarify, there are many villas in this village which may have different owners however, the villa we stayed in was VILLA A1. With some improvements and TLC this could be an excellent stay. Location - 8/10 There is a good sized Spar supermarket which is 5/10 minute walk from the villa. The nearest main shops are around a 20 minute walk however a taxi from the villa to the nearest town centre was around €3 to €5. I would say the location is not suitable for elderly or those who struggle with walking long distances etc. There was a hotel nearby which was quite loud every evening with music and guests. It didn’t bother us too much but may spoil someone looking for a very quiet location. Cleanliness - 5/10 Upon entry into the villa, it appeared to be lovely, fresh and clean however some discoveries made showed this to not be the case. I dropped something under my bed and when trying to retrieve it, I discovered that the underneath of the beds were covered in thick dust. It looked like it hadn’t been swept or mopped in weeks. We also discovered an ants nest in the utility room. We came downstairs on our second last morning to find the kitchen covered in ants. The dishwasher had also not been emptied from the previous guests. Appliances - 6/10 A lovely modern kitchen let down by the appliances. Toaster and kettle were very old and in need of replacement. The oven/grill did work but it seemed to take longer to cook food than the times instructed on the foods packages. The fridge and freezer were working fine when we arrived but towards the end of the stay, they seemed to not be working. Nothing was staying chilled in the fridge, causing milk etc to go bad. Even foods in the freezer were softening and ice started melting. There were 2 hairdryers, an AC unit in one bedroom, an iron, a washing machine, a dishwasher, a microwave and general housekeeping/laundry items. There was a lack of some basic utensils such as oven trays and a grater. Bedrooms, bathrooms and layout - 5/10 2 twin rooms and 2 double rooms. One twin room with en suite is located downstairs which was handy for elderly guests. The other three rooms are located upstairs - one double has an en suite and a door leading to the balcony. All bedrooms include wardrobes or storage for clothing etc. they are all decent sized and have windows. There is an additional main bathroom upstairs with the bedrooms. All 3 bathrooms feature shower, sink and toilet and the main bathroom has a bath and bidet too. There is a basement which included a pool table, large couches, and a small gym/workout area. This small restaurant serves good freshly cooked dishes. Spanish tapas dishes along with main dishes including grills and pizzas are served.They are also very fair with the price of soft drinks. We had the early tapas offer which was very good in quality and price. Florin who served us was smart, friendly, helpful and obliging. This restaurant seemed to fill up early so if you want to eat early it is best to book a table. Well worth a visit.
