Corner House

Situated well off the beaten track, the Corner House is the most delightful cottage set within its own beautifully kept gardens. Inside, the rooms have a unique, homely charm - the sort of place you can't wait to get back to! Everything is truly immaculate, and it is evident that Martyn and Marina take immense pride in exceeding their guests expectations. Greeted with tea, and homemade cake, upon arrival; you just know this is a special place. Breakfast consists of pretty much whatever you want, and most of it (thanks to Marina) is home made! We were down for a nearby Wedding but have every intention of staying again, and exploring the sights nearby - Martyn can fill your day with recommendations! Thanks for a lovely stay, and for your exquisite hospitality!

I have to say from the moment we arrived and greeted with coffee and cake our hosts at this fantastic B & B were amazing. Breakfast in the morning was exceptional, which so-called top hotels should take note of. The stay was amazing, the place is so idilic and quiet. The hosts were fantastic and couldn't do enough. This is one of the nicest places I've stopped in and I definitely will be returning. If you get chance stop in the Shepards hut what an experience. Thankyou.

The Corner House is a rare jewel and Martyn and Marina perfect hosts. We were fortunate to stay in the luxurious and intimate Shepherd's Hut, and woke to a chorus of birdsong. Breakfast proved sumptuous and set us up for a day discovering the Gertrude Jekyll designed gardens at Barrington Court. Montacute House too is close by, Tintinhull only a few minutes drive and we strolled along the lane to the 12th century St Michael's Church in the village. Somerset is beautiful, this B&B even more so and I loved our stay. We will be back.

We booked on the spur of the moment and are so glad we did. This is a fabulous B & B run by a super interesting and friendly couple who have paid attention to every tiny detail and are great hosts. We were very happy in our cosy blue room, lovely bedlinen and a very comfortable bed. The garden is outrageously pretty, a carpet of primroses to the front of the cottage at the moment. We loved the home cooked meal which was very generous in terms of portions, you don't get offered seconds in a pub!! Breakfast equally good and a real treat to have such attentive service. Martyn & Marina have the balance just right. The Shepherd's Hut is beautifully fitted out & well worth considering too.

Martyn and Marina are the perfect hosts at this picture perfect B&B in the heart of rural Somerset. It is situated in a quiet, secluded yet accessible location and has all the features you would expect from a quintessentially English country cottage B&B, with a thatched roof and many traditional cottage features. The breakfasts and pre-ordered evening meals are both homemade and wholesome! It cannot be faulted in any way and is highly recommended!

The room was large , clean and comfortable . The cottage very quaint and lovely gardens After reading the reviews expected the breakfast to be outstanding it was ok . We didn't have a key to our room which is usual . Probably would not stay again.

Stayed two night in this quintessentially English cottage. The hosts are charming and willing to go the extra mile. Everything Is spotlessly clean and our bedroom very spacious. The bathroom immaculate and comfortable. Breakfast was a five star treat. It was a quiet and restful break in a beautiful setting. .

What a find. I have never stayed anywhere that was so peaceful. The room was amazing. Everything spotless. Martyn and Marina were brilliant hosts and cooked us a wonderful evening meal and breakfast. I think we have at last found our stop off point when driving to Cornwall!
