Metin Hotel

I stayed at the Metin Hotel last year as a solo traveller and when planning to return in May this year with a friend we did not consider anywhere else and it was every bit as good! Lovely welcome on arrival. Rooms are comfortable and spotlessly clean. Fridge, WiFi, Safe, air conditioned. Breakfast did us fine, plenty choice really, just depends your expectations. Pool area tranquil, plenty sunbeds, very relaxing. Food at pool bar very nice and good value. Hotel is very close to pubs, restaurants, shops, river, but not too close, it is very peaceful. I would recommend the Metin Hotel, it has all you need, just depends your expectations.

We recently visited Metin Hotel based on a recommendation. Despite calling ahead to confirm our visit, upon arrival, we were informed that while we could use the pool garden, we were expected to consume food and drinks. While this requirement seemed unusual, we didn't mind and proceeded to order. I ordered a cheeseburger which unfortunately came with burnt fries. When I politely asked for a replacement, the server, who seemed inexperienced, suggested we pay extra for another serving. Though this response wasn't ideal, we didn't make a fuss and continued to enjoy our day by the pool. However, when settling the bill, the manager addressed us in a surprisingly unfriendly manner, referencing a complaint about our dissatisfaction with the food. Despite clarifying that we only requested replacement fries, we were met with disapproval. This experience left us feeling unwelcome in our own country, especially compared to the treatment of other English-speaking guests. Furthermore, the cleanliness of the facility left much to be desired, with broken amenities and inadequate umbrellas. We hope this feedback is helpful for future visitors. Best regards.

Just stayed at the Metin and really enjoyed it. The rooms are basic but clean and the beds are comfortable. There are small fridge to keep essentials cold and a safe with a key so no issues with pins etc. The rooms have balconies we had one facing the road and people watched at night before turning in. The location is fantastic right in the middle of Dalyan. The breakfast is mezze with quite a lot of variety. The staff are absolutely lovely couldn’t do more for you and we started and/ or ended the evening with a drink or two at the bar getting to know the staff and other people staying there which was really lovely. As for the pool we only used it a couple of time in the afternoon but there was space and the pool wasn’t too cold once your in.

Wonderful stay! The hosts Hasan and Nurten are the best! Perfect location, lovely room facing the pool, fresh breakfasts every morning with one of the best views in dalyan! Returning in September and will be the 1st choice for future visits to dalyan Thank you and your staff for our stay

A perfect location and wonderful staff makes this hotel a five star experience. Basic, but quaint. Rooms very comfortable and spacious. Hasan and Nurten are wonderful, warm and friendly people. Nothing is too much trouble and everything is done with a smile. Every hotel should have a Hasan and Nurten. All the other staff were lovely too, but I don't have their names. We will return in September and hopefully many times in the future.

People reserving all the sunbeds around the pool as early as 6am ruined the experience of this hotel for us. There are a large number of guests at this hotel that come every year and reserve their sunbeds very early each day. This means that by 8am, all the sunbeds are reserved. I would be less concerned about this if the sunbeds were actually being used, but about 50% of the sunbeds were barely used all day! We saw a number of parties use their reserved sunbed for probably all of an hour the whole day. This meant that guests were complaining to the lady who runs the hotel advising that they can't get a sunbed while over 50% of them were free! Despite having a sign up telling guests not to reserve sunbeds, management wouldn't remove towels from sunbeds when they weren't being used for hours, I'm presuming because they belong to their repeat guests. This led to a ridiculous situation when a member of staff was sent to drive out and collect more sunbeds from elsewhere and bring them back to the hotel, which he looked as incredulous about the situation as we did! This led to all the sunbeds away from the pool being used by guests, and all the reserved sunbeds next to the pool being unused. If you're going to have a policy of not allowing people to reserve sunbeds, at least follow through with it. Apart from this the hotel was fine, rooms were basic but clean, breakfast was very basic (and had less and less stuff as the holiday went on) but it got the job done. Location is very central to Dalyan, but not too easy in the evenings.

This is my 17th year at this hotel so I think that tells you everything you need to know the hotel is right in the middle of the village but you wouldn't know it so very peaceful and the the staff deserve a pat on the back for the excellent work they do and a special mention to the two cleaners for the excellent work they do keeping the rooms spotless

Don't book this hotel if you have walking difficulties,they put us in an attic room we had a splendid view of the tombs ,fair enough but they refused to change our room ,I think the best rooms they save for regulars ,you have to climb several lots of stairs to get breakfast there is no lift ,will never return to this hotel especially now I need a walking stick

Friendly greeting when we arrived. Travelled as a couple given a triple room in block b. Clean and beautiful white linen and towels, fridge and hot shower . Dated but spacious and good aircon. The hotel pool area is nice with a lovely bar. Breakfast on the roof terrace, amazing views of the tombs , breakfast was not to our taste but good choice Coffee was good. Hotel is in a side street off central road, could not ask for a better location. Lovely little gem of a hotel with very helpful staff. We will definitely be back.
