White Sand Dhigurah

Very good choice of budget hotel but with good qualities in Dhigurah. The rooms are very good and the food is delicious. The hotel workers are always there to help you. We did all the excursions with their Oceanholic divers diving center. Highly recommended!

We spent 9 days in this hotel and our stay has been fabulous! The hotel is quite new, beds are extremely comfortable (i’ve never slept so good during a vacation) and the restaurant offers very good food. The best thing of this place is the staff! From the moment we walked through the entrance they made us feel like home! The sweet and friendly Dula welcomed us with her warm and beautiful smile and she’s been very kind and helpful during our stay. The guys of the restaurant have been incredibly kind and professional as well. What else can I say? We loved them all and they have a very special place in our hearts. We miss them all. So thank you guys for making our stay so unfogettable. We hope to come back soon! ❤️

You get exactly what is advertised. Fantastic mid-range ($$) option. Had 5 nights at the White Sand on the first part of our Maldives trip. All the staff are fantastic & always willing to help. Our room was large & comfortable, air con worked fine, internet was good & breakfasts were perfect to fuel up for diving. Stunning beaches are just a short walk away. The island itself is small & easy to get around & the epitome of a tropical paradise. The associated dive operation (Oceanholic Divers) is also 1st class & provides briefings & the opportunity to sign up for dives each evening in the lounge. As a local island there is no alcohol - but the local flavour makes it a great stay. Verdict: Hope we get a chance to go back again one day! Tip: if you're on the top floor - get ready for a decent few set of stairs.

Everything was just perfect! Friendly, helpful people. Nice food and drinks. Good rooms and comfortable beds. Perfectly organized service. I 100% recommend this place. Just one little thing: I had a bathroom with an open roof, which is fantastic until it rains... I had to go to the bathroom in the rains several time :-)

I went to White Sand in August with my family and everything was superlative. We really wanted to go to the Maldives and White Sand was an excellent choice. And here are some arguments that support this: the hotel is very clean, beautiful, the rooms are modern, the food is extremely tasty at all meals but also varied, the restaurant is nice and clean and the service is impeccable. The employees are very kind, smiling and hospitable. The owner of the hotel, Reehan, is also very kind and extremely responsive to the needs and wishes of tourists. If you need something, if you want something specific, you only have to tell him and he will help you. The beach is a 2-minute walk from the hotel and the water and the sand are absolutely wonderful, as if you were in paradise. And that is the beach where tourists are allowed to swim. So...a very good location, clean, beautiful, with extremely kind people. Surrley we will return at White Sand. I recommend with great confidence!

We booked our stay here through Holidays Link Maldives. I informed them we were on a budget. All meals were included and speed boat transfers from Male airport. I think it could have worked our cheaper if I booked independently but all good. We arrived late in the evening as bad weather forced out to take a plane to a nearby island Maamigili and then got picked up for a 20 minute speed boat ride. We were met by a tuk tuk who took us to the hotel. From the minute we got to the hotel we were greeted by friendly faces all of whom were welcoming. We were given refreshing towels and a welcome drink. We headed up to the terrace for dinner which was nice. Meals in general were simple and probably the only area I feel could be improved. There was always salad, veggies and then rice or noodles with a chicken or fish option for lunch/dinner. All dives were organised through the hotel with Oceanholic. I think they are managed or run in tandem. Every single team member was very helpful and friendly. Some stand outs for us were : Reehan, Sammi and Hussein but really everyone was friendly. We enjoyed the roughly 10km return walk till the end of the sand cay where the private resort begins. Dhigurah is simply stunning. My only peeve is the amount of waste which was thrown around. Beach clean ups are now a must and we hope every tourist visiting can do their bit and help being responsible, dispose of garbage responsibly and reduce single use. This was our first trip to the Maldives and we hope to return to this slice of paradise soon! Thanks again White Sands Dhigurah
