Waterlovers Beach Resort

We are staying nextdoor, also in a boutique hotel and I like to enjoy the ambience and a peaceful atmosphere...but Water Lovers Resort prove to be actually Noise Lovers. Renovations are normal but you can't be annoying others everyday for more than 3 months. You have turned the entire neighborhood into a construction site. You also promised that the pollution would stop by end of May. That was a big lie from the management! You are really horrible!!! I have never experienced such horror in any other tourist destinations!

I stayed at Waterlovers in Diani from March 21st - March 25th. This was my first boutique hotel experience and I loved the space, crowd and the ambiance - it was the perfect environment to unwind without having to deal with any noise disruptions. The food was just incredible! Every meal was a treat, and those grilled prawns were just out of this world! But what really made the stay special was the people. The staff were not only amazing at their jobs but also genuinely friendly and happy. It felt like they were part of the reason why the atmosphere was so relaxed and welcoming - they went above and beyond to ensure everyone had a great time. Kudos to the management - the manager was always around, making sure everything ran smoothly and that guests were happy. His attention to detail and dedication was impressive. Water lovers honestly exceeded all my expectations and I will definitely be back!! The food, the staff, the gorgeous sea views from my room every morning and the moon rising in the evening, the management, everything was just on point! I truly cannot l recommend it enough to anyone looking for a fantastic getaway in Diani! You will not be disappointed!!

A perfect ending to a two-week trip to Kenya after safari in Masai Mara. I can only give my very best recommendations to this little boutique hotel located right on the beach. Very nice staff, really good food, excellent rooms and the location of the hotel is really good.

We are a family with three kids between 18-23 that stayed at Waterlovers for a whole week. We had the most marvelous week! Waterlovers is a really small and private hotel. The staff knew our names already the first day and they took so much care of us! The hotel is really cute and nice and the location is just the best....AT the beach! We got a lot of help in booking nice trips for scuba diving, kite surfing etc so for us it was only to relax! I can highly recommend this place!

The resort location is great. Good beach.Great staff,very helpful and very friendly.Food at dinner was great however let down by limited choice at breakfast. We had a great dinner one night on their platform which felt very special.Though you have to reserve that in advance.No mention of it is made when you arrive at the hotel.We only found out when we asked after seeing a few guests dining the night we arrived. We had a lovely swing lounger however you have to make sure you reserve it as soon as you get down for breakfast otherwise gone.The resort does have 2 other bailnese style loungers which again need to be reserved as soon as possible. We were pleasantly surprised to get afternoon tea at 4pm and biting at 6pm. A lovely touch to half board or bed and breakfast. Lots of positives however the reason for the 4 is the room which is marketed as a "suite" but it is not a true suite as you would expect in normal hotels which we have stayed in our travels.Its an average hotel room modelled on a rustic swahili theme. There is a double and a single bed in a small room making it even more difficult to move around.Luckily if there is 2 people in the room.The single bed is used for your stuff and gives you space.The four poster swahili bed very high for short people.So anyone petite be prepared to jump onto the bed.😀 No TV or no fridge in the room.You get 2 bottles of water free a day though can't chill them. However we did ask for a fridge and were provided with one.A welcome relief in the hot temperatures of 35C and above. The hotel markets itselfs as Eco/sustainability resort but the rooms are not sealed,louvres, light through the door let hot air in despite running the AC all day.The room never reaches 18C. The hotel definitely needs to review this situation if it wants to be ECO credible. Overall it is overpriced for the quality of room you get but it is made up by the staff and location.

I stayed at Waterlovers Diani in March of 2024 with my family including two teenagers and generally enjoyed it. There are many positives but there are things they can improve on. The hotel has a very relaxed vibe being a small boutique hotel. The general manager, Arif, is very attentive and makes every effort to make you feel at home and also cater to your needs. He is a very hands on manager and to be honest, the hotel needs him. The food menu is good, albeit repetitive, and so we requested specials for dinner to be prepared. They were generally good, but I would have preferred a bit more variety in the menu. The rooms were fine but had one issue- the air conditioning unit is far too weak to cool rooms of that size and with a thatched roof quickly enough at night to make it comfortable. It takes a few hours of sweating in a warm room before it cools down. We requested additional fans that helped. All in all we had a good time and enjoyed the hotel, beach and pool.

A small boutique hotel at the beach. Just 8 rooms and penthouse. So peace and quite. Everything was arranged for our comfort. Excellent food. Staff is very friendly and helpful and focused on making our vacation chill and amazing. We truly loved id.

"Location, location, location" is the mantra of the real estate business, allegedly. This hotel is top notch in that case, with a stunning location right on a beach with soft, white sand that extends miles in both directions, with water temperatures that range between 28 and 32 degrees Celsius all year round. In addition to the extraordinary location, the new owners since spring 2023 have raised the bar in the restaurant resulting in a wide variety of good, tasty food at reasonable prices - with different menus for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Rooms were tidy, stylish in a non-pretentious way and the AC worked throughout the nights. Occasional power outages added some local flavour to our stay, as they were never long enough to cause a nuisance. Staff were pleasant, professional and helpful, radiating a sense of "going the extra mile" to meet guests wishes and requests, helping us plan our days and any excursions with both creativity and a smile. We spent four days at Waterlovers, and enjoyed every minute of it, from sunrises over the Indian ocean to after dinner drinks at the pool bar.

This place is sheer bliss! If you are thinking of booking just do it! We were lucky to have a full week here following a safari. There are 3 things that are very special about Waterlovers… 1. the location is stunning, right on the beach it feels like paradise: 2. the staff, they are so welcoming, attentive and friendly- we have to mention particularly Anthony and Siassi in the dining room, and Abdullah and Timo who kept the cocktails coming at the beach bar and were such great fun; 3. the attention to detail in the rooms and the decor, hand carved items everywhere and we were able to purchase the cute sugar bowl and bottle toppers to bring home. The rooms are beautiful- we stayed in Elephant cottage, it had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The food was very nice and, while there is plenty of choice on the menu for a few days, we did suggest maybe an additional ‘dish of the day’ would be a welcome addition. We had no issues with insects or cleanliness - our Housekeeper Helen looked after our room very well. We enjoyed the pool and the layout of the rooms among the palms and trees was idyllic. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it and hope we get to go back some day.
