The hotel's location in the historical center is excellent, with major attractions like Souq Waqif, the National Museum of Qatar, the Museum of Islamic Art, and the Corniche promenade all nearby. Souq Waqif metro station is also close by. There's a supermarket on the next street, but for a good Carrefour supermarket, you'll need to take the metro. The hotel itself is a bit dated but clean. It has a rooftop pool and a few clubs within the building. I stayed on the 6th floor and wasn't disturbed by the clubs at all. A downside to the hotel is the poor soundproofing from the door; everything happening in the hallway can be heard in the room. Overall, for its price, it's not a bad option.

Lovely room upgraded on arrival for a small fee. Jaccuzi was a nice touch. Bathroom is gorgeous and we caught a beautiful sunrise and sunset from the 12th floor. Staff were all kind, friendly, helpful. Amenities were basic. Slippers, robe and toothbrushes provided. Drinking water available inside small kitchenette. Ambience was nice, except for unexpected evening rush at hotel lobby area. Disappointed to see people dressed inappropriately, gathering at hotel reception area. Security staff did not ask them to wear proper clothes in public. The hotel should respect local public decency customs amd I hope they will not encourage such behaviour in future. Very uncomfortable with children on a family break. Breakfast was buffet style. Some fresh food was provided. But, unfortunately a lot of the menu items were processed foods and artificial drinks. Fresh orange juice and detox water was available. Would have liked to have a more healthy breakfast menu for whole family. Eggs benedict was cooked fresh but served with processed meat turkey rashers. Overall, a comfortable stay. Would like to see this hotel improve the standards of upholding public decency and avoid attracting alcoholism and inappropriate social behaviour at this venue.

It was quite a coincidence – our Doha trip, originally planned for a few days of sightseeing, turned into an extended stay due to the Middle East conflict. This hotel is pretty much your typical business express hotel. The lobby is on the smaller side, but the location is excellent. One side faces the sea, and many rooms offer views of the Doha Cruise Terminal, which is genuinely lovely. The hotel restaurant is fairly standard, only serving traditional Islamic cuisine, which of course, also had to do with it being Ramadan in March. The hotel is very close to the National Museum of Qatar, which has a metro station, making it super convenient to get to various attractions. It's about a 15-minute drive from the city center's Qatar Central Mall.

Excellent choice for a Doha stopover. The room was spacious, spotless and very comfortable. Friendly staff, good facilities, and a convenient location close to the airport and city center. Great value for money – I would happily stay here again.

It was cheap, but I can’t say it’s a hotel I’d like to stay, interior looks really dated and not in a good way, room smells weird, like some spices, in general it’s ok if you need to spend a night but I wouldn’t go there for holidays.

The hotel is very close to the airport, the sea is outside the window, the scenery is beautiful, and the price is not expensive. There are two museums within 500 meters of the surrounding area, and there is a Chinese restaurant downstairs, which is very convenient for dining.

I recently stayed at the Golden Tulip Doha Hotel during my trip to Qatar, and I had a very pleasant experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff were welcoming, professional, and always ready to assist with a smile. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, making me feel comfortable right away. The room was spacious, clean, and well-maintained, with all the amenities needed for a relaxing stay. The bed was comfortable, and the housekeeping team did an excellent job every day. I particularly appreciated the quiet atmosphere, which allowed me to rest well after busy days exploring the city. The hotel’s location is another major advantage. It is conveniently situated near key attractions, shopping areas, and transportation options, making it easy to move around Doha. The breakfast offered a good variety of fresh and delicious options, catering to different tastes. What stood out most was the genuine hospitality of the hotel team. Their attention to detail and commitment to guest satisfaction made my stay memorable. Overall, I highly recommend Golden Tulip Hotel to anyone visiting Qatar for business or leisure. It offers excellent value, comfort, and service, and I would gladly stay there again on my next visit.

Lovely hotel, nice large rooms and excellent breakfast. The only downside is that they are strict with the 15:00 check in time. We arrived around 13:30 but an earlier check in was not possible.

No daily room cleanups, but reception was friendly. Close proximity to taksim street, pleasant walk in good weather (october).

I booked a room, and when my colleague arrived late at night from his trip, they refused to let him in, claiming the room was booked for one person, not two! They wouldn't let him in until I paid! According to them, no one is allowed in without an additional payment of 150 Riyals, which is very strange and something I've never encountered before. I really didn't like this treatment at all. Keep in mind, I had booked 3 nights with them, and I was forced to pay for him to enter, even though he originally had a booking at another hotel. Honestly, the service was terrible.
