I would love to give the hotel 5 stars. The location is fantastic. A fairly isolated spot a few kilometers from Trogir. Huge grounds slopping down to a beautiful beach. A number of clay tennis courts and soccer fields. There is a boardwalk which in the past had a number of small shops, restaurants, and ticket booths for tours and rentals. Unfortunately since Covid most of them have closed. There is one restaurant, one bar, and one ticket booth remaining. This leads into the reason for 4 instead of 5 stars. The hotel food is horrible! You are much better off taking a water taxi to Trogir (4€) if you want a decent meal. The beach restaurant is adequate. The immense hotel itself is an old Soviet style palace which has recently been renovated. The rooms are spartan. The staff needs some hospitality training. My wife was overcharged at the bar. One year we took an apartment/cabin there. It worked out nicely. Despite my complaints we will probably go back for a 4th visit, the area is so nice.
