Dornoch Hotel

Good Service. Clean although worn/dated. Local to amenities. Myy husband didn't enjoy the food.

Amazing friendly staff doing their best to accommodate us.

Firstly the positives.Both Andrew at reception and Xander at breakfast were excellent as were the bar staff .They were courteous ,cheerful and informative. We were disappointed in our three day stay we did not meet or see the manager Bob as seems to be the case with most of the hotels we have stayed in the UK ,Ireland and Europe.Despite the hotel being recently renovated to a high standard the outside appearance suggests neglect with the metal railing and gate at the front being rusted as was the flag pole. There were also ****s growing out of the drains and exterior. This is in marked contrast to the other hotels in the immediate vicinity. We thought there would be more atmosphere and a chance to mix and talk with some of the locals as has been the case in other Scottish hotels we have stayed in. The hotel lacks atmosphere and was strangely empty which is surprising given the popularity of Dornoch as a tourist destination

My Fianncee and my best friend and I were all sent to Dornach Station by Drew Barrymore (yes that one) and it was a transcendent time.

Fabulous dinner and outstanding service, so pleased we ate here. Decor is opulent and charming, easily the best we have come across in Dornoch area. Highly recommended

Great stay at Dornoch Station, wonderful location especially if you want to play golf. Food is wonderful, staff very friendly and the comfortable beds allow for a great nights sleep.

Wow - was gorgeous, staff lovely and refurb beautiful. Popped in for a peek and a cocktail - cocktail just fab. Really high quality inside with a lovely sumptuous colour scheme xx Snooker room particularly special. Outdoor seating was great with stunning views - highly recommend. Thanks

Staying at a different hotel in Dornoch we decided to book dinner at this new to us Hotel after hearing of it’s extensive renovation. On entering you are literally blown away by the standard of the interior it truly is breathtaking. We were greeted warmly by a gentleman in reception and that is where it ended. We were directed not accompanied to the bar where we met a delightful young man who was chatty and he supplied our cocktails. We decided past our dinner time reservation we would find our way to the dining room ourselves as no one came to take us in . On entering we were showed to our table where we ordered dinner. My dinner was delicious but I have to say service was abrupt . On leaving the dining room reception was empty of staff and we had to locate our own coats. We had no goodbye. To say it was a disappointing visit would be an understatement. We had such high hopes . So 10/10 for the interior but staff leaves a lot to be desired. So no going back for us. We were staying at The Royal Golf Hotel nearby where it was a complete reverse re the staff. Where we felt valued and welcomed.

The Station Hotel ,just beautiful ,the interior design has been done to a very high standard and with very good taste ,all departments in the Hotel were so comfortable ,In the front Hall ,there are little zoned areas which are designed as small lounge areas ,where you can enjoy your own privacy to sit with a book ,or a nice glass of wine .
