Premier Inn Douglas, Isle of Man

M&S, TK maxx, a lot of Bar & Restaurant nearby, standard Premier INN service, friendly and helpful staffs, Bfast is nice…no compliant. I am Premier INN frequent customer ^^

Situated on a narrow, one way street at the back of shops and littered with bins. Stayed in a Premier Plus room which had cleaning issues. (Addressed by manager straight away). Buffet breakfast was cold/tepid on two out of three mornings. Initially addressed for second morning by manager, but then back to same problem. Be very clear if you stop here. There is NO overnight parking in the vicinity. Overnight parking is a half mile walk next to the Ferry terminal. The other option offered is a dingy, concrete, multi story car park, a half mile the other way and believe me you wouldn't want to park in that. The M+S car park directly opposite the hotel closes overnight and can't be used. I will be fair and say that a meal and drink were given as compensation for the hotel problems encountered by the manageress, who was excellent. Having stayed in numerous Premier Inns over the years, this doesn't come close to their usual standards.

I have stayed at several hotels on the Island but this was definitly one I would return to. Locations was excellent (even though it was not on the bay front) with amenities and travel links handy. Rooms were up to Premier Inn standard and the staff were excellent.

Arrived Friday evening. Girl on check out was lovely, super helpful and check in was easy. Got to our room, bathroom light wasn’t working. The lady on the desk (different to the one that checked us in) advised maintenance don’t work weekends so there was nothing she could do, also didn’t offer an alternative room or clarify if there were any others available. We made do. In the morning, we found there to be only one towel in the room, despite booking for two people. Went to the desk, were told there would be one brought to us, there was not. There were time constraints to our schedule so had to share one and hope for two clean towels upon our return. Arrived back at the hotel in the evening. The front doors to the hotel were locked (we arrived back around 10pm) and we were told the doors were broken. We got back to our room and there were no new towels, nor had the used towel been replaced as discussed.

The staff are just absolutely fabulous. Friendly, helpful, welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. Clean and comfortable rooms and dining/bar areas. Food was top notch both for our evening meal and breakfasts. The pizzas were traditional handmade and the burrito was wonderful.. full of flavour. We were truly made to feel at home.

There were many items either unavailable or not appealing on the continental breakfast menu for the 4 days we stayed. One light in the bathroom not working and hairs from previous occupants on the shower wall.

Staff were extremely friendly approachable and efficient. Nothing was too much trouble. Rooms had everything required for a short stay. Readily availability tea coffee and milk for the room. Free loan of iron and ironing board. Breakfast good. All in all excellent stay Would definately come back here

We love this hotel. The staff are friendly and extremely helpful. There was a man there called Jo. He was really lovely. We stayed for a week. We ate in the restaurant a few times with friends. The food was really good. The staff guided us about the special offers on the menu which was amazing. The hotel is spacious, clean and modern. We slept really well. Can't wait to return.

No hotel Wi-Fi for my android phone it seems that it is an ongoing issue here. The rooms are a comfortable premier inn standard and it is clean and was a reasonable price. There was a reasonable choice at breakfast, but plain yoghurt as well as the strawberry which only appeared on Sunday would have been better.
