Premier Inn Dublin City Centre (North Docklands)

Hotel reception doesn’t know how to checkin customers from Trip.com. Location and room are alright.

For the price, it was ok. Air conditioning in room didn't work well. Hotel was new so it was clean. Breakfast was not good and overpriced for what it is. Coffee was tasteless. Location was away from everything. Paid a fortune in taxi costs each day to get into the city to eat and walk around. BUT for the cost, what do you expect?? It was OK. You get what you pay for!

Arrived at the hotel at 14:40, Was told by staff check in is 15:00. Waited until 15:00 and of course there is a huge queue to check in. Given the size of the hotel there is no way all rooms are still not ready at 14:40 so either: A. There are customer unfriendly rules in the hotel B. The check in staff are lazy and like to make guests time difficult Really bad service.

I stayed in September 2024 at the Docklands on the first night the fire alarm went off at 2am so we had to walk down 8flights of stairs, stand in the freezing cold for 20minutes and found out it was a false alarm. I appreciate this can always be helped and it needs to be treated as a real alarm but it wasn’t turned off for while after we walked back up to our room and we weren’t given any explanation as to what had triggered it. There were a few issues with the room. A leaking shower head and toilet door that wouldn’t close unless you pulled it back hard and locked it, these weren’t raised with staff as I was only there for a few days and it seemed more hassle than it was worth. The GOOD bits - it is situated very close to a tram line which was excellent for our visitors leap card as we could get in to the centre of Dublin within 5 minutes. The value was fairly good for a city hotel and the Dublin express bus from the airport drops you amazingly close. All in all, I’d say if you are there to see Dublin and don’t care too much about the hotel then it’s a pretty standard choice. You know what you get with a premier inn. And hopefully you don’t have a fire alarm go off at 2am!

Sadly the experience with staff both at reception and bar was sadly lacking. Our TV's and hair dryers didn't work. When advising the staff about this they were completely dismissive saying they already knew there were problems with both but nothing would be done.

Typical Premier Inn but very expensive. Dynamic pricing I believe €200 one day €62 same room, same day following week.

New hotel, opened Nov 2023. Nice location about a 5 minute walk to the LUAS tram and there is a Gala store just across the street. Rooms were clean, comfortable, and air conditioned. Nice breakfast buffet, offering either full or continental.

The hotel room was good, the bed is comfy but the room is a bit hot during the day and there is nothing to watch on the TV so the TV is just a useless decoration on the wall.

Stayed here recently while attending a concert nearby in the 3 arena. Perfect location for the occasion but will not be back to this hotel. Comfortable clean room but very very basic, not value for money at all. No check in open until 3 pm, hotel was fully booked which led to a very long queue and long delay to check in which was very poorly and badly organised. Internet then went down which caused a whole host of problems. Bar is strictly card only, they don't take cash or charge to rooms for the bar, so when interent went down they had to basically close the bar. Restaurant does not open until 5.00 pm, so is of no use if you are attending a concert. We had to leave the hotel because we could neither get drink or food. On returning from the concert, the internet was down yet again so a very busy bar had to be closed yet again because of their inability to function without the internet. I have never seen the likes of it ever before. Faulty towers springs to mind. Last thing is they do not have any discounted parking arrangements in place with the local car parks so our overnight parking ended up costing €35.00. I would say there are plenty of better hotels nearby and it's well worth spending the free extra quid to stay in them rather than this place.
