I would give -5 stars if I could! They're money suckers!! The booking was supposedly on 24-27th March 2020, but the owners cancelled it due to COVID and lockdown restrictions. The owner/staff (I'm not sure which one is she) named Julia reached out to me to hold off on the refund because they needed the money to support their small business and their employees. In return, they said they are happy to give me an open booking reservation until the end of 2021 and even offered a 1-night free stay. I was glad to oblige to this to help since I know that it would be the small businesses that the lockdown would significantly impact. Last August, I started contacting the lodging to avail of the said booking. However, their customer services were pretty much unreliable, and it wasn't until I tweeted about them that I got a call from one of the staff asking to resolve the issue. The main points of the correspondence between Julia and me was that: I cannot avail of the free 1-night stay because "it was only valid for a year". I didn't complain about this since it was only complimentary. I could rebook the room, but the £144 I paid last 2020 will only be used as credits. I checked the prices of the rooms and some were out of my budget. I have then opted for a refund instead. Julia told me last August 25, 2021, that she would inform the owners about the refund. It has been more than a month, and they haven't been answering my emails; their contact number/support service is a dead end.
