Don’t get me wrong, this was a nice resort, beautiful beach, and I must say most staff were customer-centered, and many even seemed to try hard to enhance our experience. The entertainment staff worked very hard to keep things going throughout the day for those who were interested, however, it was not for us. But I was impressed at how hard they worked. And the food was ok, you will not starve but there is certainly a lot of room for improvement. We stayed on the Premium side and did enjoy the quiet breakfasts and lunches in air-conditioned and very clean premium buffet. And we always got lounge chairs whether at the beach or any of the pools. However, worth mentioning is this resort endorses a “butler” system. A great idea for those who enjoy this kind of service but for my wife and I it would have been more of a hinderance than helpful, as we used their great hotel app for booking our restaurants and getting around the resort. The app also provided us with confirmations so we had no issues when we showed up for our reservations. We actually go on these trips to enjoy the beach and the food and do not want anything more, the last thing is to go on tours for which we have absolutely no interest and leave the beach we came to enjoy. When we first arrived and tried to check-in there seemed to be a big push for us to meet this “butler” or set up a meeting the next day even to point that they kept stalling us on the wifi password saying you will get everything you need from your butler. We actually had to go back to the main lobby to get the password. We are in our 60s and after travelling all day just needed to get into a cool space and rest, but they kept stalling trying to get us connected to this butler. Anyways, just a heads up for those of you who are like us, I respectfully declined over and over the need for a butler, and it was obvious that the staff got offended, I mean we were quite surprised at how offended they looked, especially the butler was started to get a bit rude. I was polite but rather than giving us a choice they tried pushing their agenda but we declined. And what a mess when I asked about the Air Canada pick up time for our transfer to the airport, stating that this is something the butler would have helped you with which is BS. Our entire stay we literally had only two questions which I am sure we had a right to ask, one, how do we log onto the internet, and two what is our pick up time for the transfer to airport, or where is the Air Canada rep. Anyways, we had a very nice time but we prefer to experience our vacations our own way, and did not appreciate being pressured into something we had no need for…if they give customers the choice, they may even return😀
