Tea Cabins

Of all the hotels we stayed at in Sri Lanka, this one stole our hearts! The photos seriously don't capture its magic—it absolutely blew us away. We opted for the smaller cabin with the round pool on the balcony, and it turned out to be much more spacious and modern than we anticipated. The lounge and bedroom were wonderfully cool thanks to the air conditioning, and the bathroom was luxurious with its new rain shower and large bathtub. But the best part? The beautiful, totally private pool & balcony tucked away in the lush jungle - it was just perfect! Choosing to stay here was the best decision ever. The staff pampered us with delicious fresh meals and arranged convenient tuk-tuk rides to and from town. I hope to come back someday and relive this incredible experience!

The stay was amazing, everything was perfect the cabin itself was extremely cozy and comfortable. The interior of the cabin was well done and felt like I stayed at an extremely luxurious resort. The service was also perfect was always ready to help and staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. The food was also very good. The overall experience was amazing. Excellent cabins in the Ella mountains. A must go for couples. Cabins big enough for small families. Great food, clean, and friendly staff. Simple luxury with quiet yet vibrant surroundings. Most comfortable room I've stayed in in Sri Lanka for $150usd.

Oh my goodness! If you are looking for the most wonderful, relaxing, luxurious getaway in Sri Lanka, then the Tea Cabins is the place for you. As a solo traveller, I know that it can sometimes feel a little tricky being on your own but definitely not here. This place is ideal for romantic couples but equally suitable for the solo traveller, like myself. My cabin was spacious, luxurious and fully equipped with all the comforts needed for a relaxing escape. Although I only stayed one night, I felt totally recalibrated by the time I left. In summary, the highlights were: - the most luxurious, large comfy bed - a magnificent private plunge pool- I felt like a celebrity! - the secluded location, nestled high in the hillside tea plantation region of Ella - the fabulous bathroom complete with sunken deep bath - the fridge filled with wine and whatever other drinks you fancy - the absolutely delicious traditional Sri Lankan breakfast- yum! - the non- imposing attentiveness of the lovely host ( the owner’s father- I didn’t catch his name) -the delightful tuk-tuk driver who carried my embarrassingly heavy suitcase up and down a challenging flight of stairs.He also made sure I got my train ticket to Kandy - thank- you!) This is the perfect place to relax, unwind, recalibrate in unobstrustive luxury. Thank- yuh Tea Cabins, Ella.

Everything about this place was amazing. It’s set in a very peaceful, private and romantic setting which makes you sit back and relax and really enjoy some time out. We took advantage of the private pool, fire pit, upstairs area with the tv for movies, the kitchenette and waking up to the most beautiful views. The service was impeccable. Everything from providing us with a tuktuk to and from the accomodation, showing us a shortcut to the 9 arch bridge and preparing delicious curries and breakfast. It’s been the highlight of our travels to Sri Lanka.

The accommodation was the best of our entire trip! It is fantastically located, surrounded by nature and has everything you could wish for. Also the food was great. But not only the accommodation was amazing, also the people there. Ishanka and his family make everything as easy as possible, you don’t have to worry about anything. My wife and I stayed at Tea Cabin in Ella for our honeymoon in August last year, and we were absolutely delighted with our experience. This charming cottage was a true private oasis, surrounded by lush tea plantations and with the Nine Arch Bridge just a short walk away. Our cottage was well-appointed and tastefully decorated, with all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. The highlight, however, was the private pool, which allowed us to relax and unwind in complete privacy, with stunning views of the surrounding landscape. The hospitality of the staff was exceptional. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and taken care of, and were always available to assist us with anything we needed. The food served at the on-site restaurant was delicious, with a range of local and international cuisines to choose from. Tea Cabin's location was also ideal for exploring the nearby attractions of Ella, including the scenic Nine Arch Bridge, which was just a short walk away. We also enjoyed hiking to Little Adam's Peak, which was easily accessible from the cabin. Overall, we highly recommend Tea Cabin in Ella for anyone seeking a romantic and peaceful getaway amidst the picturesque tea plantations. The warm hospitality, stunning views, and private pool made our stay truly memorable. We can't wait to return!

We so enjoyed our stay at the Tea Cabins! The cabin is beautiful and everything has been thought of to make your stay as comfortable as possible. And wake up in the morning in the wonderful bed with a more than fantastic view over the tea plantation and the mountains. The hammocks outside and the private pool, everything was perfect. Remember when you stay here, the place is fully immersed in nature. Expect little insects, frogs and others to pop in and say hi too! The room was quite compact but we were staying as a family, so as a couple it would be more spacious for sure. Rounded connecting bedroom to toilet, cozy and hot showers. The private plunge pool was very appealing but quite chilly! The temperatures are much cooler here due to the area so the pool was a quick dip for sure! Loved the loungers and the sounds of the birds and even the monks chanting at sunrise. Food was ok. Served when you liked and what you liked from the menu, we ate one meal here for convenience on our arrival and the rest in town just a 10 minute ride away or so. Staff were amazing. Whether it was tuk tuk rides, advice or helping with bags. They were very accommodating and was lovely. Overall great value for money, immersed in nature away from the noise of the town. Just remember if mobility is a problem there are quite a few steep steps to reach your accommodation so this maybe an issue.
