I really liked this hotel; it was comfartable and had everything really, but still without that "overly luxorious" flair in many hotels of the same class, that often feels just artificial and ridiculous in our day and age. This felt genuine. The hotel is situated close to the mountain chain Wilder Kaiser, and the view is wonderful! From my room windows I also had the view of a small mountain alpine farm, and I could watch the sheep climbing and grazing on the very steep mountain hill. That was an interesting spectacle! It is also very calm and quite on that high location, a bit up and apart from the noise of the village center. A small word of warning, though: the high altitude of the hotel also means that there is a VERY steep hill to climb from the village center (and the nearest bus stop), so if you are bit older, or from other reasons have trouble with your feet, knees, hips etc. (or your heart), and travel without a car - maybe this hotel is not for you. The breakfast buffet had "everything"! The gardens were also very nice, and I loved the swimming pool. A small word of warning is necessary here as well, though: if you are a swimmer and swim fast with goggles (which diminish your eyesight): there is a partition on the left further side of the pool, and this ends right beneath the surface, which means that it cannot be seen above the surface, and it is also not marked in anyway. It is white, as the rest of the pool. I swam right into it with my stretched-out fingers, hurting them just a bit and breaking a couple of nails. But it could have been much worse: I might have swum into it with my head first, become unconscious and drowned. Also note that there is no life guard or "pool boy" by the pool - it is possible that no one would notice until it was too late! (There might be some constant camera supervision of the pool instead, but I saw no signs of that.) This partition absolutely should be marked (ideally with a wide black line or cross), so that you see it with when you come swimming against it under water, with goggles. If you keep to the right side of the pool there is no partition, but also there the end of the pool, the socket and the steps are not marked, everything is the same white colour, and there is no black line/track marking at the bottom of the pool either, to follow when swimming. Something ought to be done about this, because otherwise the pool is adequate also for "real" swimmers - it is 30 m. long! When you are through swimming, there are various sun chairs and sun beds (but no towels, you have to remember to bring that with you from the room), and there is also a pool bar and a waiter/waitress walking around (now and then) and taking up orders for drinks - very nice!
