We stayed here a couple days on a college visit trip for my daughter. This hotel was a very positive contrasting experience vs our stay at a different chain in Amarillo. The gym was pretty complete with I think 4 treadmills along with elliptical and free weights. The towels in the gym were clean, smelled nice and were like thick bath towels. The room was clean and there were adequate towels and washcloths. The reception folks were nice and always acknowledged us when we came or went. Parking was easy and well lit. There were an adequate number of elevators. They put us in a higher floor when we checked in since our room wasn't ready at 3:30 PM. Our room was comfortable and clean. There weren't kids running up and down the hallway and we didn't hear noise coming from other rooms. I have nothing to complain about. It was all positive. Oh, and the included breakfast was excellent. They didn't over hype it, it was just very good by typical complimentary breakfast American hotel standards. Wifi was complimentary and worked fine. There are good restaurants within easy walking distance. The recommended restaurants was a nice, but I'd suggest 2 changes. Pepper's Asian bistro was much better than the recommended Thai Pot Cafe unless you specifically want Pad Thai. We ate at both. For Italian I'd recommend North Italia, which they listed but wasn't a staff recommended.

My husband and I spent a couple days here and were pretty satisfied with it. The room was clean and nice. And the bed was very comfortable!! Location was great as well. They charge a daily fee of $35 for parking but there are plenty of other parking garages close for way less. They have a 24 hour self service spot where you can buy snacks and drinks which was helpful. The elevator was extremely slow and a part of our floor was under construction. Also, the pool water was way too warm. It may be listed on their website as heated but I was not prepared. It was 98 degrees outside and we couldn’t even sit in the pool. The biggest complaint was the service. I asked one of the front desk gentlemen if we could bring drinks up to the rooftop pool or if there was bar service and he had no idea. His response was “I think you can?” When we got up to the pool and tried to call to order food and drinks they told me we had to come down and order it from the bar and pick it up from the bar. Which is fine but at the pool area they literally had a phone, next to a menu, and a sign that said use this phone to order food?? They also only have breakfast and dinner hours listed but when I asked if they do lunch too she wasn’t sure and put me on hold to check. It was just a little misleading. Like how do you not know if you serve lunch too? The only awesome service we had was the bartender we had for lunch and drinks. He was knowledgeable and quick to take care of us. Overall 4/5 hotel stay. We would probably come back since the bed was comfy and the room was nice and spacious.

Good features: (1) Place has a dinosaur motif - lots of bones and artifacts in the lobby and dining area, lots of murals all around stairs and exterior walls, there's a 'dino expert' on duty 7am-10am Fri-Sun in lobby, with lots of toy dinosaurs to do 'show & tell.' (2) Generally quiet area - it's set of the main road by a side street, with plenty of parking. (3) Beds and rooms comfortable. (4) Hot breakfast with variable choices each day - sometimes link sausages, sometimes corned beef hash, etc., although their potatoes were less than MacDonald's quality. Not good features: it's a pet-friendly place, and they do try and locate pets along one or two of their four 'wings.' Except we are not dog owners, and were put into one of the 'dog wings,' unbeknownst to us, for our 5-day stay. Generally not a problem, except next door to us there was a 'yapping' dog over the weekend. Their owners just left the dog alone in their room for hours at a time, and the dog was understandably upset and constantly yapping and whining. We complained to night manager, who simply stated: ”dog owners do this all the time, there's nothing I can do since they're not in their room.” He suggested we take it up with manager in the morning, which we did. She stated that night mgr could have called the dog owners on their cell and told them to come back to room, since hotel has everyone's cell phone numbers. She also said we could have requested a room away from dog wings when we first checked in, but how is one to know to ask for that? We suggested that in the future they have a sign at front desk that states just that - if you don't want to be in the dog wings, ask for a room in the non-dog wings. Manager did give us 10% off our bill for our inconvenience. Note: We don't dislike dogs; we just dislike bad dog owners who leave their pets unattended for hours at a time in a strange room

An Excellent stay it was indeed for me! The accommodations are some of the best I have ever had the privilege to enjoy on kinda short notice, it seemed at the time. My Suite was designed nearly Excellently....I just Loved it!! You can do as you will discreetly....much like being in the comforts of your own dream home, it seems! Being in the middle of demographic changes like I am, this site property premises become a most welcome discovery for me in such a great location, with local venue options in near perfect location to these suites! This being the case with future job obligations rising accordingly. Such terrific dining service, Excellent food for a daily meal! I felt very much at home for a change, rather than just typical lodging facility. Just all-around Excellent Service by an Excellent Staff!! Thank You All So Much for now!! Very good, much better than I imagined

Unbelievably bad service by Taylor, Front Desk Manager/Supervisor. When we came back to our room at the end of the night there were issues immediately. There was a missing lightbulb in one of the light fixtures, only one TINY trash can in the entire room, and the video cable for the TV was nonexistent. Along with the room just feeling like it was in disrepair, and had not received a deep cleaning in some time. These maintenance issues were remedied. The manager on duty at the time, a gentleman, was very accommodating and kind. As was the gentleman that came to the room, this would have been the night of April 21, 2022. Around 10PM when the complaint was placed. We did our best to enjoy our stay in the TINY overpriced and frankly not entirely clean room the best we could. The day before checkout another kind manager gave us a late checkout for the next day. I wish I had remembered his name, though I did not know I would be writing this review until the night of 5/12/2022, this evening. We noticed what turned out to be an improperly placed smoking charge on our card. We called to discuss our dispute with the manager on duty at the hotel. This evening, 5/12/2022, at approximately 7 PM. Taylor answered the phone. She was the manager on duty. She explained that the charge was for smoking in the room and that there was some sort of evidence in the room. I made it clear my wife and I don’t even smoke and asked for said evidence. Taylor immediately became argumentative and told me that “you can take that up with your credit card company”. I explained that I had worked in the hotel industry (I was a manager for a hotel company in San Diego some years ago) and that it is blatantly clear when someone had smoked in a room and that they must have gotten the room wrong she repeated that I would “have to take it up with them” and then she HUNG UP THE PHONE. She hung up on us. I called back, asked for her manager, she indicated that she was the manager and I tried to continue the conversation, asking why she had hung up on me. She said “because I was stating a fact and there is no dispute”. I explained that it is indeed a dispute, over the opinion of the hotel being I smoked in a room I hadn’t smoked in. SHE HUNG UP AGAIN. I called back, asking for the name of her General Manager. She said his abbreviated first name, and told me to talk to him in the morning and HUNG UP ON ME AGAIN. I decided it might be nice to have his full name, given the fact that the issue had now become about her service, and not the fee, and that I wanted to make sure I talked to the right person. I called back, just asking for his last name, she HUNG UP on me again, I called back a final time, again asking for her managers name, and she again hung up on me. I called the neighboring property and obtained the General Managers full name. I placed a call with corporate customer support and opened a case regarding Taylor’s service. Facilities are newer and well kept. I have zero complaints admit my stay here. Honestly, it exceeded my expectations. Unfortunately, I woke up to late for the breakfast or I'd comment on that as well.

Everything was a okay no complaints besides that the breakfast I was looking forward to since my last hotel stay ( different business) did not offer breakfast because of covid..to find out breakfast is only a mini cereal bowl / multi grain bars. No hot breakfast like I assumed when I was told that breakfast was offered. My fault for assuming and again that I understand is a state precautions not the companies fault.
