Hotel Boutique Las Arenas

Nice property, very clean, lovely food, stunning roof top terrace and great location! However, don’t be mislead with the word Boutique in the hotel name - it isn’t! Some areas have modern touches but much of the hotel is still old fashioned and basic. Also, was rather disappointed that the vast majority of rooms have a window, not a balcony. There was no mention of this or option to book a balcony prior to arrival. In all my years of travel, I don’t think I’ve ever stayed at a beach hotel without a balcony (and a window facing a white wall - room 104). I would recommend this hotel but only once you have considered the above points.

Be aware: my reservation was canceled a week prior (the email went to the spam folder and I realized one day before the stay). I made a booking over 4 months ago for a two-night stay. A day prior to arrival, I actually contacted the hotel to inquire about the check-in time. That’s when I got to know that my reservation was cancelled. After multiple phone calls to a third party (booking .com) and to the hotel itself, we managed to know that someone called with a complete name, booking number and PIN number (!) to cancel this reservation. I was baffled cause I was the only one who got all this info and did not make this alleged phone call. I was told at first that the hotel was full and that since my booking was cancelled a week prior, we couldn’t get no money back. While struggling to get another accommodation for 6 people that same day, I was referred to another hotel. After few hours the people at the hotel told me that they could provide, at the same price, a room for 3 people (instead of 2 rooms for 6, as per the original reservation). After loads of back and forth (including telling them that I would resort to a lawyer, if needed) I was refunded in full. Due to the outraged prices we had to stay in Formentera instead of Ibiza as we initially planned, cause the prices were more than triple the amount. 

 So please be careful with your booking with this unprofessional hotel. Clearly this is a case of hotel using all kind of excuses to kick out earlier bookings that were secured at better rates (also because of the uncertainty of the pandemic and the free movement within states etc.). If you really need to stay here, please write/call them several times to confirm your arrival and make sure they don’t cancel on you last minute, during high season! Good luck!!

Absolutely loved this hotel! Amazing roof terrace, lovely breakfast! So helpful! Spotless! SOO clean! Perfect! Views across the ocean and lots of shops, restaurants and bars close by. I will definitely be back

Absolute little gem of a hotel. Perfectly situated on the harbour. Easily accessable to everything.

Staff were excellent, room was clean, beds comfortable, good buffet breakfast, great location and on site restaurant served great meals. Only negative was the wi-fi, no signal in bedroom and not a great signal strength in breakfast/restaurant area.

Muy buena atención. Todo perfectamente preparado y limpio. Increíbles vistas desde la azotea. Cama muy cómoda. Los baños perfectamente equipados para las necesidades básicas. Buenos desayunos. Están atentos por si necesitas algo y ayudarte. Si duda volvería a ir ahora mismo

Estafados en Las Arenas. Efectivamente asi es como nos sentimos el grupo de amigos que intentábamos pasar unas buenas vacaciones en Ibiza hasta que… sorprendentemente nuestra reserva hecha y pagada en abril, se canceló supuestamente por alguno de nosotros (mentira totalmente) justo una semana antes de alojarnos y claro, asi se les quedaba una habitación libre en pleno agosto a precio de venta en agosto y no de abril, cuando era mucho mas barata. Estuvimos reclamando continuamente en varios e idiomas y lamentablemente nos atendían mejor si era en italiano o ingles que en español, una vergüenza, como si nuestros euros no valieran igual. Nos daban mensajes contradictorios ya que por ejemplo a eso de las 9 no había habitaciones libres, pero luego a las 15 nos ofrecían una habitación por el mismo precio que en abril, pero solo para 3 personas en lugar de las 6 personas que eramos, creo que vieron el problema que habían causado. Le dijimos que no nos importaba meternos los 6 en la misma, total, eramos parejas y nada, tampoco nos dejaban ni nos reasignaron a otros hoteles. Esto supuso que tuviéramos que crear un nuevo alquiler, a precios de agosto y de un hoy para mañana como quien dice, en plenas Baleares justo el verano después de 2 años de pandemia cuando todo estaba repleto. Imaginaos la dificultad, problemas y cargo extra que tuvimos que asumir además del cortarrollos que supuso que nos cancelaran nuestra reserva para poder revenderla de nuevo y más caras.

Ich gehöre einer Gruppe von Freunden, die über *********** 3 Monate im Voraus zwei Zimmer für sechs Personen gebucht hatte. Eine Woche vor der Ankunft wurde unsere Buchung ohne unser Wissen oder unsere Zustimmung storniert (die Benachrichtigungs-E-Mail landete im Spam-Ordner). Am Tag der Ankunft stellten wir fest, dass jemand so getan hatte, als hätte er in unserem Namen angerufen und den PIN-Code und die Buchungsnummer für die Stornierung angegeben. Offensichtlich war es keiner von uns 6. Keiner von uns hatte dies getan und es konnte nur mit einer Buchungsreferenz und einem Pin-Code von *********** gemacht werden. Wir vermuten, dass das Hotel dies tat, weil es in der Hochsaison einen besseren Preis erzielen konnte, als wir bezahlt hatten. Niemand außer der Buchung, dem Hotel und uns hatte Zugang zu der PIN und der Buchungsnummer. Kurzum, wir fanden uns mitten im August auf Ibiza obdachlos. Das Hotel wollte nicht von der Angelegenheit nicht mehr wissen, indem es uns "Glück" bei der Suche nach einer anderen Unterkunft wünschte und uns keine anderen Zimmer anbot. Außerdem ist es erstaunlich, dass das Hotel uns zunächst mitteilte, dass es keine Zimmer mehr habe, und dann später in einem weiteren Gespräch mitteilte, dass es uns nur ein Zimmer zu dem Preis anbieten könne, auf den wir uns vor Monaten geeinigt hatten. Ein Zimmer war nicht genug für 6 Personen. Alles war sehr verwirrend. Diese Nachlässigkeit in der Buchungsabwicklung bereitete uns viel Kopfzerbrechen und Stress und zwang uns, ein neues Hotel zu finden, das natürlich teurer war, da wir in letzter Minute und mitten im August buchen haben mussten. Ich wünsche niemandem diese Unannehmlichkeiten in seinem Urlaub und rate daher dringend davon ab, dieses Hotel zu buchen.
