Villa Quieta

We spend 8 days at Villa Quieta and had the opportunity to spend time in different rooms, because of our late minute booking. This hotel is gorgeous (original Marrocan style) and will placed just in front of the beach. Villa Quita’s team is just top! Ready to help whenever needed. We’ve liked the atmosphere of being a smaller hotel compared to others, it is there for well suited for families or groups. We had 2 days of introduction to kitesurfing with Kamal. A top experience! Because the wind was between 50-60km/h, he took us to a place which was perfect to get introduced to it, even with these extreme (for beginners) conditions. I’d advise this hotel for the following reasons: Cosy and authentic hotel Great quality (large) rooms Fantastic team ! Close (1km) to the fabulous medina - and yet not having the noise of staying in the medina Btw, plenty of top restaurants in the medina!! Great instructors for kitesurfing and surfing 50 meters from the beach The garden is an oasis of peace Airport of Essaouira is at 15 min Definitely will come back!

My daughter and I had a wonderful Experience at this beautiful and peaceful hotel right near the beach. The hotel is very clean and lovely throughout. The breakfast included freshly cooked eggs , bread, Croissants, pancakes, juice, and tea. We appreciated the joyful atmosphere and excellent customer service.

An incredible stay at this magnificent villa, you’ll stepping back in time with the amazing traditional living room . Gotta give an extra point for the amazing pool ,the very welcoming staff and the incredible fountain in the middle of living room

Really nice stay at the villa quieta. Beautiful view, the furniture in our rooms was so beautiful. We were 2 adults with older teenagers and our rooms didn't feel cramped at all. Pool area was lovely too. Breakfast was good. Would definitely come back!

We booked this on the recommendation of a friend and we weren't disappointed. We had rooms 5 & 7 and they were both comfortable and spacious. The hotel is beautifully laid out with lounges and areas to relax inside and out, sunny and shady spaces through the lovely gardens and around the terrific pool. Essaouira is famed for its wind, but the pool and garden areas provide quite a bit of shelter. The beach is just across the road, and we really enjoyed the local Beaches & Friends bar/restaurant there (see my separate review). The local blue taxis are also easy to catch on the corner near the hotel, for 7-10 Dirham. NB: they only take 2-3 people per taxi. We typically caught a taxi up to the old town/port as that way is into the wind(!), and walked back. It's about 15 minutes from the gates of the Medina. Breakfast is huge, meaning we quite often didn't need lunch; fresh OJ, different types of breads with lovely jams and honey, yogurts & fruit salad, optional eggs. It is the same every day, but why should that be such a problem?! The staff are all super helpful, and booked us a taxi back to Marrakesh that was excellent. We didn't eat dinner in the hotel, but based on the snacks (briwates, chips, mint tea etc) that we did eat, I can only assume it will be very good.

American family of 5 in Familial Suite w/Garden View. Very happy with the accommodations. Nice room, friendly staff, enjoyed the breakfast. The pool and garden/courtyard were perfect. If you've never been to Essaouira, the winds can be so high that hanging out at the beach is not an option....like a sandstorm. So the pool was a great retreat on those days. Several cafe / restaurant options right across the street. Highly recommend.

Lovely large rooms, beds were comfy with lots of hot water. Breakfast was great. If you want to eat supper you have to let them know by 2:00. The grounds are stunning with a pool and lots of sitting areas. Checkin was fast the the staff was wonderful.

We opted for the Royal Suite, which was big - lots of space and comfortable. There is however a less than private balcony, which is sectioned off from a communal area, meaning other guests can be sat in full view. I had expected a greater deal of privacy, and (as an ex-smoker) I didn't like whiffs of smoke coming from other guests. The pool is small, but more than adequate. The garden is quite pretty. The building itself is very Moroccan and a pleasant place to be. It is 1 minute from the beach and a 25 minute stroll to the Medina. My one criticism is that breakfast wasn't quite what had been expected. You get bread, pancakes, jam, honey, juice, coffee and eggs to order ... but it is exactly the same every day. Having researched the hotel we had expected more of a self-serve buffet, but it looks like they've stopped doing that. A lovely hotel, and one that I would probably recommend.

Drove to essaouira over reasonable roads from Imlil. The hotel is just on the outskirts of the medina, which is about 1 mile along the beach. Prixe fixee taxi rates of 10 Dirham get you from. Door to door across the city, and are excellent value. It’s also a very easy and pleasant walk. We stayed in this charming hotel for 4 nights, and simply loved it. Besma at front of house kept us updated and well informed during our stay and was charming and attentive. However, the staff member who went above and beyond in providing support was Yassine, not only did he porter, serve meals and generally help out he also sorted out our disaster of a hire car, which had a flat battery and needed jump starting on two occasions. He got a local garage to come and sort it out and couldn’t have been more helpful. Charing and supportive he was simply excellent. The hotel are very lucky to have such a kind, helpful and supportive staff member. We stayed 3 nights in the junior suite and a final night in the garden suite. The junior suite was ok, but if you have mobility issues then it’s best avoided. The bathroom is downstairs immediately below main bedroom and the stairs are quite challenging. Nice outside terraces, but the garden suite was the best. Beautifully appointed rooms and great views of (naturally) the garden. Essaouira makes a great base away from marrakech. The medina is lovely and the fish restaurants particularly good. Would come back in a heartbeat. Thanks once again to all staff at the hotel.
