The most kind host, Simo and his wife, attentive and caring. The place is charming, amazing view from the terrace, delicious breakfast. We had a very good sleep, felt rested to continue our journey. Made our stay memorable.

From start to finish our stay was sensational. Simo and co, so attentive and full of knowledge. He made sure we had everything we needed to get there. Breakfast was traditional Moroccoan, crepes, bread, jams, egg, coffee, fresh juice and Moroccoan tea. Clean space, chill out zone. We stayed on ground floor, very spacious and private. Located in the center of the main street, amazing food, shopping and very honest people. What a gem of a city. We are planning to go back in Oct.

This riad is beautiful and the host, Simo, so helpful and friendly. Our stay was only for 4 nights but we wished we could have stayed longer. Our room on the ground floor was cosy and well maintained. The bed was very comfortable and made up every day by Simo's wife. The riad is filled with Simo's paintings and artifacts which give the interior character. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful and the view from the roof terrace was beautiful. We couldn't have asked for more and we can't wait to return.

We stayed here for a few nights and it was lovely. Sumo was amazing, so helpful and kind. He really went out of his way to help us find our way round. The riad is lovely, with lots of stairs! And the breakfasts are huge and beautiful! We are pleased to have stayed here.

It’s a very cozy Riad because of it’s lovely decoration and art elements all done by the Host Simo and his brother AND because of Simo who is such a good Host. He takes care of everything so that you can enjoy your stay in Essaouira best as possible. The room was spacious and comfy and gets cleaned every day. Big and good breakfast included.

Riad Bab was an amazing and unique place to stay in Essaouria. The room was decorated with excellent art and the terrace was fantastic. The host was exceptional. I would highly recommend staying here. Thanks, Will

This is my second visit in Essaouira with a 10 years gap. I strongly recommend this city in comparison with Agadir. Regarding the accommodation, my family (parents and one 6yo girl) stayed for 5 days. The place is located just in the centre with a few minutes walking distance from every major historic point. The beach is around 7 minutes walk though the amazing Medina. We had a living area with a bedroom and all the private amenities at 2nd floor. The place is cosy and authentic with a nice vibe and charm. We loved the fresh towels and new bedsheets everyday. There is an open terrace and common area. The breakfast is too large and cooked with passion. Simo the owner is a really great guy going extra mile to satisfy all the tourists requests. My partner worked from home and always got a warm code in the morning brought by Simo. One thing I regret is I didn’t try a homemade dinner prepared by him. Definitely will return if back in Essaouira.

Simo is an extremely friendly and welcoming host. The room was beautiful, cozy and spacious. The place is decorated with some pieces pf art from the family. Breakfast was also really good, freshly made every morning and delicious. Loved our time there and would absolutely recommend it

An authentic Moroccan Riad with a great central location in Essaouira. Simo our host could not have been more helpful. He went above and beyond to make us comfortable, explain the local area, and even helped us get excellent prices when shopping for souvenirs!
