Red Star Surf - Hostel

Excellent surf school and great accommodation. Really went out of their way to look after me and help with surfing faults. The videos help you understand how the wrong technique is holding you back. Chilled little village, all good value. Loads of attention given to intermediates (as good as private lessons while I was there), and I witnessed the beginners progressing very fast. Everything in the village is within walking distance, and if you choose to rent a board and go off on your own you can walk to a decent spot on the beach within 10 minutes.

Once again I've had the time of my life with Red Star. In the past 4 times I've been the wind was always fairly or very strong. This time it was the perfect time to learn more about how to catch a nice green wave, paddle out, watch and read the ocean while sitting on the board. I very much appreciate all the knowledge Gerry had shared with us. Suny & Javier were friendly as always and very helpful when I need some assistance rearranging lessons. Can't wait to return in November.

Hello, Our expierence in Red Star Surf Center was wonderfull. The teachers are very competent and I felt always save to leave my son ( 12 years) alone with them. To me it felt like a big family. Even in the shop, where they have so nice things to buy you get discount when you book a course. The accomodation was having everything you need. On the pictures our room was looking small, but when we enter the house we where suprised how beautiful and clean the house is. Maria is the cleaning queen of the house and she does her job with a lot of love for the details. If you forgott your suncreme, dont worry even this they have in the accomodation. The whole Red Star surf community is open and helpfull and have a open ear for every thing you need. You will have a wunderful time there. Thanks for that great experience. Judith and Mohan

We were two friends who attended the course and stayed in the house they rent. It was amazing how they teach their passion, by teaching, motivating you and adapting to your level in order to let you give your best :) We will definitely repeat the experience !! Thanks a lot!!

With my friends we tried surfing for the first time. We attended 2hour course for beginners with Mariano and we really enjoyed it. Unfortunately, it was our last day on Lanzarote. I will definitely try it again! Great instructors, great waves, great experience. Hope I will visit you again guys 🤙🏻

Great first experience with surfing. We had a private lesson and the coach devoted himself fully to us with passion and lots of skills. It was the very last day on Lanzarote and we were leaving absolutely motivated to come back here and train again with Red Star Surf. We definitely recommend it to everyone who wants to start surfing or to improve the skills. Amazing spot for surfing. Willing people from Red Star Surf to teach you how to.

From far the surf camp where I did the best progress! After a briefing on the beach before going to the water, instructors are really closeby to make you stand and/or turn (following your level) by giving you the best tips. They are really serious and fun! After the session we gather at the shop for a verry constructuve video debriefing and, for a chill moment drinking a beer ;) Thank you guys for that great summer week I had!

Having been traveling a lot around the world, I must admit, it was one of my best experiences ever! In the beginning I was in doubt whether it was a good idea to go by myself, but later on I realized it was actually the best decision. If you are in doubt (like I was), please go for it, you will meet beautiful people, have fun and fall in love with this incredible place. If you are a beginner, it’s the best place to learn surfing. The instructors are absolute treasures! 💙They will guide you step by step, starting from the theory and then in practice. You won’t be disappointed as they are very professional, caring, always smiling and do their job with love and passion. So, you are definitely in the safe hands! Oh, and get ready to laugh a lot as well! Red Star Surf has it all - great teaching, friendly (and hilarious!) staff, comfortable accommodation and a delightful bunch of people. The teaching stood out in particular - the surf instructors provide tailored advice that really helps you improve. Would definitely recommend and go again!
