Travelodge Colchester Feering

The staff were lovely friendly and helpful. My room was comfortable and peaceful and I had everything I needed it was nice to have a few places next to the front to eat ..the manager was really nice my only bad point is that if you don't drive be prepared for the taxi drivers to completely rip you off I had to phone about 10 cab companies to eventually get a cab to the station 2 mins cost me £22 but that is not the hotels fault

The place was very clean, basic room. Quiet, close to somewhere to eat, local shop, petrol station and free parking. Room is sparse but for a basic stay to sleep or rest it’s perfectly good. No hesitation staying again, no fuss, no frills bed. Comfy bed, great shower.

Great stay - staff went out if their way to make sure we had everything we needed. We were met by a very friendly receptionist who made us feel very welcome and valued. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting a nice place to stay when visiting the area! L

We came to Colchester to attend a family wedding at Layer Marney Towers. We had a terrible journey from Wales and on first impressions when we drew into the car park, our hearts sank as the A12 is very busy and noisy and the front door had seen better days; BUT the staff were warm, welcoming and couldn’t do enough for us. The room was spacious, super clean and I thought appeared recently refurbished (2 years ago!). The rooms on the right hand side have a very pleasant outlook of trees and a lawn and hedge and delightful bunnies to spot. With the windows closed the traffic is reduced to a background hum. It was a very pleasant three night stay and the Londis is very well stocked. Our only gripe, and this is not Travel Lodge’s fault, is that you can’t go anywhere without going on the A12. Shame there isn’t a ‘back door’ alternative road. All best wishes to the lovely staff who obviously take pride in the building and the guests.

We had a great welcome when we checked in by Jayne, she was so lovely and even on our departure day she was very accomodating. We had a confusion with our booking and was dealt with brilliantly and swiftly. We had a breakfast box and they hadn’t had a delivery so she even went to Greggs to make sure we had everything in our box needed to start our day. Thank you Jayne and everyone at the Travelodge xx

as a woman spending the weekend with another woman, we felt very safe. the staff were amazing, we were always welcomed back and asked how our day was - we will definitely be coming back.

Absolutely brilliant. Stayed here a few times now when visiting home and we now only use this hotel as the rooms are spotlessly clean, beds are comfy, showers are good and the team are THE friendliest and most helpful we've come across. A huge thank you

Lovely friendly helpful staff. Rooms spotless. Room overlooked field with lots of bunnies- adorable.Close to food outlets & garage.On main road but a very peaceful nights sleep 😴.Plenty of hot water even at 5am.Easy checkin /checkout.Lady on duty this am came out to say goodbye and wish us a safe journey home, which was lovely!
