food stinked so bad i almost threw up, there was cockroaches under the matress, very cold inside and creepy. horrible experience, definetly don’t recommend, a health inspector needs to take a look here, i sincerely wish for this place to be closed soon

Basic hotel horrendous food, cold and couldn’t tell what the meat was the salad was slimey however breakfast acceptable waitresses awful food was thrown literally on plate splashing clothes no smile and often rude if you tried to ask about the menu choices extra cost for air con bar very basic no selection shower often cold outside area could do with a clean marks from chairs onto clothing due to never being washed down ash trays not emptied

We went with Shearing Coaches on the Rome, Pompeii and Sorrento tour. My expectations from Shearings is that the hotel's are basic but this was below basic. The hotel is in desperate need of a refurb with room 361 been very basic. Although it was clean and the bed was comfortable enough. As far are the bathroom goes it would be fair to say it was compact, the towels we got were extremely thin and some were stained, fortunately I had taken a towel myself. The food was like death by pasta in a variety of ways every night and the waiting staff were sloppy to say the least, with no finesse. Food was literally thrown onto you plate with some of it splashing onto peoples clothing. We walked out one night when an apple was served to us as desert. One member of the party complained about this and insisted on an alternative, they got an alternative but it was literally thrown onto the table. The beds are rock hard but on the upside my back feels amazing. The food was good, you need to take into account, you get what you pay for. The vegetables were severed in your lap. I think this was down to attempting to feed 50 people as quickly as possible. The place was dated but clean. Limited bar but they would get in what you wanted. The staff do not speak English but appreciate your attempts at Italian. The rest of the guests were Italian so you know you were getting authenticity. Fiuggi is pretty and worth looking around, especially the handbag shops. Although I didn't make it there, I am reliably informed a trip to the Old Town is well worth a visit.

The rooms are clean but the beds and mattresses are very uncomfortable, one pillow I had was like a rock! I was on a ledger coach trip holiday and very disappointed with the hotel, I only went to breakfast one morning and it was awful. Cheap tinned fruit salad no fresh fruit, Cheap cornflakes no granola, no cooked food and cheap ham and sliced cheese provided. I dined in the hotel one evening only after being tired and a long day in pompeii, we were all squashed onto one table and the lady come round with food like we were at school again in a patronising Manor, it was a cheap frozen veg in a "soup", the main was horrific sloppy over cooked cauliflower and a tiny piece of cheap and a handful of chips, then a smallest slice of cake, which they wanted 20 euros for! The hotel don't provide "do not disturb signs" so ever day the housekeeping would come in and throw my pyjamas on the floor and open the window wide open so I got bites of mosquitos every night! I found a public hair in the bidet which is from the previous guest not very hygienic at all!

We stayed here on a Shearings Enchanted Italy tour. The hotel is very basic and it looks like you’ve stepped back into the 70’s! Desperate need of an update. The rooms are ok. We didn’t spend much time in there tbh. The worst part of the stay was the food. It was dreadful. We were served a cheese & ham toastie one night with cold courgettes on the side! ‘Seasonal fruits’ was an apple on a plate with a knife! The waitresses were extremely rude and spoke no English. The food was basically slopped out to us! We ate there for 2 nights then went into the town centre to eat. If Shearings continue to use this hotel I wouldn’t book the holiday! We only found out where we were staying a week before we went so be careful when booking!!

The mattress was hard and uncomfortable. The shower was not great, especially if you are 6 feet tall. Air conditioning was extra, 5 euros per night. The lift was ancient! The restaurant was not great. The food was even worse! Nowhere to relax comfortably. No staff around, always having to ring the bell and wait.

We were stuck here for three nights on a Shearings Classical Italy tour, by far the worst hotel they put us up in. The rooms were dreadful, shower disgusting and the meals poor. The manager wasn’t very pleasant. We have a complaint on going with Shearings regarding our stay here.

We were here six nights on a Shearings Italy tour, The rooms were basic but ok . However the food was awful - minimal choice and very small portions . Food was not served to you it was thrown /slopped . Non English guests were served completely different food and treated with respect unlike ourselves . A small toasted cheese sandwich is not an evening meal and I would not class an apple on a plate with a knife as "seasonal Fruit" ! We had to purchase water for children to drink with dinner and were only allowed access to the tea and coffee facility for breakfast. Read more
