Residence le Pic de L Ours

The apartment was big and right in the centre of the town so very easy to get to the gondolas to get up the mountain. We also had a nice Mountain View. But those are about the only good things I can say about it. The apartment was filthy. Bedding was clean but there was dust and grime on all the skirting boards and food and drink splashed up the walls in the kitchen near the dishwasher and bin. There was awful mould on the back wall of the cupboard under the sink where the cooking pans were kept, which seemed really unhygienic to me. The induction hob was cracked and chipped in two separate places and the inside of the oven was dirty with grease. Also the kitchen only had two power outlets, so if you wanted to use the coffee percolator and the toaster at the same time, you had to unplug the microwave. We had one toilet roll in the apartment. Nothing else. No dishwasher tablets, no tea towel, no washing up sponge. They expect you to bring all that yourself. I’ve stayed in some very basic self catering places before but have never stayed anywhere that doesn’t even give you a tea towel or something to wash up with. There was mould in both the bathrooms and one of the showers leaked when used, meaning all five of us had to use one shower. There was also a random broken plastic bit of pipe sticking out from the shower wall, which needed to be avoided each time you used it so you didn’t cut yourself. The sofa was stained and only seated three people despite it being an apartment that slept up to six. The only other places to sit in the communal area were the hard wooden chairs at the table. There was a cushioned footstool which was literally held together with black gaffa tape. So not great for hanging out and relaxing in the evening. Also, there is no WiFi in the apartment, only the main parts of the hotel, so I ended up spending a fortune on roaming data add-ons. I complained to the staff as soon as we arrived, but they seemed uninterested. They said they would send the cleaner again, who never turned up. I gave up mentioning anything in the end. We were out skiing most of the day but I really didn’t enjoy returning to the apartment in the evening and having to wash and sleep in the dirty conditions. I’ve no idea how this place has four stars. I’ve stayed in accommodation in developing countries that was of a higher standard than this.

Excellent.. Thoroughly enjoyable.. Short walk to the track, short car ride to Col De Pam car park to explore summer trails, 20mins drive to Lac de Matemale.. Apartments very clean, loads of room, couldn't fault them. Right in the heart of Font.. Would stay again..

The premises were located right in the town centre and in front of the ski lifts. The balcony was spacious with a nice view of the city and the mountains. There was no one at reception on arrival when it was supposed to be open. The room key was going to be in a box outside but the box was empty. Luckily the hotel next door was able to contact the receptionist who eventually came. The reception had limited opening hours and was often closed during these hours. The hotel advertised a swimming pool and 2 saunas. The pool smelled of chlorine a mile away and both saunas did not work for the entire week we were there.

We drove up from Barcelona to see the snow and chose this accommodation due to availability and price. When we got there we were pleasantly surprised to find that it exceeded our expectations! The staff were responsive to emails in advance of our arrival about the height clearance in the free, secure parking. The reception staff (Juan) was so friendly, helpful and welcoming. The accommodation was much larger than we expected, plenty of room for us all, clean and warm with AMAZING views from the balcony. The swimming pool was an added bonus, warm and clean with windows looking at the snow. There was also a charming Winter market right beside the hotel where we ate hot crepes! I recommend this place without hesitation and we will definitely return.

We took the most expensive room and were put in the basement with no view of the mountains. So in addition to not having Wifi, the 4G/LTE was not working. Under excuse of COVID, the changing rooms and all the toilets are closed while they are open in other residences, restaurants, bars, ... Try to go to the swimming pool with children and have to go back up to your room to avoid to defecate in the pool. Obviously the front desk makes no effort and says: "We are just employees, we can't decide anything". The changing rooms you have to go through are icy. A light bulb in the room did not work any more, after notifying the reception, nobody came to change it. The large living room also had just a tiny window. We had to turn the lights on during the day to see something. Laundry works with coins but there is no way to get coins in the property.

Es una vergüenza que cobren por dormir aquí madre mía hacía años que no veía una cosa igual , todo sucio, imposible dormir de lo incómodo que es, entra aire por las ventanas hasta la puerta está rota la estufa da error (se quedan igual) ,es que no se que más se puede decir todo pero todo fatal, no lo recomiendo ha nadie nos fuimos antes nos preguntaron porque les dijimos la verdad y se quedaron igual supongo que ya están acostumbrados una vergüenza.

Bien placé mais par contre c est assez sale! Prenez vos produits d entretien, literie horrible, si vous avez mal au dos ne venez pas ici!tout est ancien, jusquau ustensiles de cuisine, ils laissent une poêle ou le revêtement antiadhésif est pas mal parti, c est cancérigène ça !les rideaux sont déchirés.

Publicité mensongère: j’ai réservé à font Romeu au Pic de l’ours par le ce “Lagrange vacances” soit disant 4 étoiles mais en réalité il n’ont pas le standing et ne sont pas référencé. C’est un chiffre qu’il s’auto attribue. D’autre part je me suis copieusement fait insulté au téléphone parce que j’ai osé demandé des renseignements. La personne m’a dit que ce n’était pas son problème que je n’avais qu’à regarder ma réservation et que j’étais probablement une novice de la location !!!! A FUIR

Très jolie résidence en centre-ville. Notre studio était bien équipé et confortable mais hélas, mal entretenu, ce qui est regrettable pour un établissement de cette catégorie : Portes qui grincent, ampoules de frigo, de lampe et de terrasse grillées, robinet d'évier mal fixé, porte de terrasse mal isolée du froid extérieur, seul placard de rangement occupé par le cumulus et matériel de ménage, bruit constant de meubles traînés, aboiements répétitifs de chiens des résidents (nuisances sonores signalées en vain à l'accueil), poussières non faites depuis bien longtemps, piscine couverte mais non chauffée (10°+), jacuzzi en panne, pas d'état des lieux entrant. État des lieux sortant sur notre insistance pour restitution de la caution. (Caution sans état des lieux ! Ah bon ?....). Les espaces communs sont propres. Mise à disposition d'un parking sous-terrain privé. (Séjour de 8 jours avec mon fils).
