Its a good place to stay nice rooms and people friendly

The place is very clean, service is great! We enjoyed our stay here and the breakfast is definitely a surprise! Don’t miss the star party if you have chances to go there! Early reservation for the star party is required at the observatory!

The renovation done to the rooms is the best quality I’ve seen. It was obviously an older motel, but you can tell a lot of effort was put into it. There is no table lamp like others have stated, but we usually pack a little night light since we have kiddos. It’s nothing fancy, but very clean, comfortable, and stylish. We enjoy hiking around and visiting the Ft. Davis/Bahlmorea/Alpine area and this place is perfect for the price. Would definitely stay here again.

This Inn is a mixed bag. The exterior is in need of repainting/refurbishing but the rooms are actually pretty nice. The bathrooms are a little small but it was me and my wife so it wasn't a problem. A family might have a problem. The breakfast was below average. No meat of any kind. Few selections. They didn't provide any kind of juice, only a orange flavored sickly sweet beverage.

The property is in a great location if you plan on seeing some of the historical, educational or natural sites in the area. The Fort Davis National Monument is literally 5 minutes away, Fort Davis State Park is only about 4 miles away and the McDonald Observatory is just about 17 miles (all uphill). Big Bend National Park is only a 1.5 hour trip from there as well. The rooms were clean and the staff was helpful. There were some electrical glitches the first morning there, however it had to do with the local electricity provider rather than the inn. Once the power company resolved their issues, everything worked as it should. I would have liked having a lamp by the bed rather than just overhead lighting and a chair would have been nice too (my companion's room did have a chair). But other than that, I have nothing particularly negative to say about the place. It's not a La Quinta or Marriot, but if you're just looking for a place to rest and refresh after a day of sight-seeing, I think it fits the bill nicely. The price wasn't bad either. I would probably stay there again if I should return to that area.

We had no hot water no electric and no heat at 3 am. We left at 8 am still didnt have. We couldnt have breakfast. Owner was rude and would not compensate

We really enjoyed our stay. The staff were very hospitable. The checkin process was quick and easy. The rooms were very clean.

Comfortable, affordable, recently updated to similar Holiday Inn standards. It was difficult to understand the foreigner managers language.

good experience, reasonable rates, off season so very few guest and really quiet. We would stay again when in the area.
