Galt Villas Hotel

I checked in with my family for a 2week getaway. When my kids noticed bumps on themselves and I noticed them scratching. Upon checking the mattress and lifting it up I was bamboozled with the bugs I saw. Not to mention the website price and the price they mention at check are two different prices. Nonetheless, I didn’t have another option so I went with it. Long story short, my family and I cut our vacation a short 3 days in, and I had take the kids to the hospital. If management has problem, they can reach me at 5420 NE 22nd Ave, unit 24, Fort Lauderdale 33308.

Well below expectations. I booked this “hotel” because the reviews I read through ******* gave it a very good rating in terms of cleanliness and amenities. The price was aligned with a 3.5 star hotel . As I arrived, I immediately realized that something Elsie not add up. Outside, the place looks worn down and not at all like an hotel (my Uber driver drove three times in front of if because he could not find any sign that indicated it was an hotel). My room was dirty, with an unpleasant smell of mold, dark and dusty. The bathroom door was smeared with coffee that was not cleaned away . The carpet looked like it did not see a cleaning foam since the day John Kennedy was President… all in all, I would only recommend it if you need a one-night place to stY, but beware, the price is not aligned with the quality…

Hotel refuses to honor booking for a 2 double room. Trying to charge us to upgrade to one, even though my receipt says "2 double"! A room with a king bed is not suitable for our group. Highly regret booking this hotel, certainly cannot trust the desk staff. The first staff member even admitted we were supposed to be given a double room. Then the second one wants to charge for it? Shady business.

I have to say o was super nervous about booking this hotel. I booked through Hotwire and this hotel was the one we got. I booked Three king rooms for my family for three nights for Martin Luther King Jr weekend. It is an older motel but our rooms were renovated. The tub was still pink but everything else was more modern. Very clean. The rooms had microwaves and refrigerators. It is super convenient to restaurants, did grocery stores, drug stores and a 10-15 minute walk to beach access. There are four pools to use. The beds were super comfy. We did not eat at the motel restaurant or the tiki bar. I will have to say that the lady in the office needed some training on how to deal with guests. Though not outright rude, her tone was a bit demeaning and was not very understanding of a cancelled flight and my attempt to have a later checkout. I realize she was just doing her job but she could have definitely used a better tone. This motel is not the ritz but is affordable and comfortable. Overall, I would book again. Note: I did call three times before we left to just remind them that I needed. Clean room for my one year old grandson.

Booked this hotel one night before our the cruise, bit further from Fort Lauderdale airport, cost about USD 27.00 ride with Uber. Galt hotel is under major renovation, so they put us next door at Royal Beach Palace Hotel, same hotel chain. They gave us a nice large Room with 2 double beds with private balcony. Good location across Win Dixie grocery stores and some restaurants, 8 minutes walk to the beach. Overall a very nice stay, they have a shuttle to the Port Everglades but we took Uber for less than USD20. We will be back next time we cruise from FLL.

We traveled from Pennsylvania to Florida. We reserved a room in the Galt Villas Hotel through the magic of the Internet. Our credit card was charged for the room and we received a confirmation email. When the Uber driver dropped us in the parking lot, SURPRISE! The place is closed for renovation, so now we’re in a vacant parking lot in a strange city, I’m on the phone trying to get a refund and my wife is on hers trying to find another place with vacancy for the night. One would imagine that a respectable business would not accept reservations to a property that I is permanently closed. No information is available on their website about ownership/management, and the website certainly does not indicate the current status of the property. BE WARNED! This place is disgraceful! DO NOT RESERVE A ROOM HERE you will find yourself alone in a vacant lot in a strange city.
