Ft. Lauderdale Beach, a VRI Resort

I arrived at the hotel on December 23, 2023. My first impression was a time capsule to the year 2005, I saw a very old hotel totally different from what I expected according to the evaluations in RCI and the photos. The staff when welcoming us was very friendly and even though we arrived at the hotel early (11 am) they assigned us a room. The problems started when upon entering the room we realized that it was much smaller than what we reserved. We reserved a room for 6 people which had to have two king size beds and one queen size bed. The panorama was bleak, we only had a king bed, a queen bed and an armchair bed, both the armchair bed and the queen bed were in the common living room which was super uncomfortable since you could not have both beds operational since they did not fit in the space. The situation got worse when we realized that there was only one shower, for 6 people only one shower is terrible since a lot of time is wasted. With a completely different room than the one I paid for, I went to the main inn to seek help since we made the reservation via RCI and therefore had to communicate directly with them. Being a Saturday, you had to call the RCI emergency number which works 24/7. The hotel, despite being an active member of RCI, did not have the RCI emergency telephone number, so despite the good will of the hotel staff, it was difficult for us to contact them. The problem was resolved with RCI where they admitted their mistake and we reached an agreement but I had to keep my stay at that hotel in that room. The problems continued, in the hotel they DO NOT provide cleaning service except for one day a week and the day they were supposed to do cleaning turned out to be a failure. They only replaced the toilet paper, organized the towels and nothing else, they did not make the beds, they did not sweep, they did not mop, definitely the worst cleaning service I have ever received in a hotel. Our first night was very bad, the quality of the pillows was horrible, the mattresses buried the springs in your back, whoever slept on the chair bed the next day could not cope with the back pain since the irons of the chair bed were buried on the back but the other person who slept in the living room also suffered, since at the slightest movement of the person in the bed chair all the springs made a very loud noise, in addition to the consequences of sleeping in the living room, for example the noise of the dishwasher all night. The wifi was not bad but it was not good either, it allowed messaging but under no circumstances could you have an online conference, the room was very clean which is a very positive aspect of the hotel. I will not return to this hotel again since it is very old, all the beds are terribly uncomfortable, terrible pillows, really the quality of a "beach resort" is not perceived anywhere, it does not even have chairs on the beach. A complete disappoin**ent, they ruined our Chris**as holidays.

Good-sized units. Very nice resort. Great location. One block to the beach. Been here several times and have never been disappointed.

I ended up going to the chiropractor after my trip because opening and closing the doors hurt. Beautiful views though and it’s clean.

Walls paper thin! Can hear everything in the hall and next door. Not going back! Next door was load and could not sleep. Called front deck and nothing was done.

Dated amenities..excellent proximity to the beach. Clean. Nice if you're high enough up and facing the east for an ocean view.

We enjoyed our vacation at Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort the location is great the beach is across the street. Surrounding high-end hotel. Close to the Bay, you can watch from your Balcony the yacht and Boat passing by while the bride is open at night you can just look at the city light. We enjoyed staying at Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort. We are looking forward to coming back in December for another vacation with family.

Excellent location with parking steps from the beach, large rooms with all the amenities, convenient, simple accommodation. Highly recommend for a longer stay in Fort Lauderdale.

Our stay was enjoyable. We love coming back to Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort every year. The staff were very helpful and always pleasant to deal with. The ocean is just a hop, skip and a jump away from the property, and there is nothing like the views of the canal and the ocean - so, incredibly beautiful.

We booked for a week, and enjoyed our stay. Room had a great view, and enjoyed particularly the hot tub
