Hotel Cacciani

Just had an amazing 3 nights stay at this lovely hotel in Frascati. Tucked around the back streets, with reception in the hotel restaurant next door & 24 entrance to tap in through small door. Book in and check out very efficient with superb location to the station (exit hotel, turn right, then first right down flight stairs to station car park. No noise from trains. Whilst this hotel might need updated decor, its personality super-cedes this! We had twin room, comfortable beds with modern en-suite bathroom, double glazed windows and pull up wooden shutters (cord by side) to block sun if needed. Fresh towels every day, very clean compact rooms, hairdryer in bathroom with a few toiletries. Restaurants, cafes, church, square are literally few minutes walk Because of its central location do expect a degree of noise if windows left open as Air-con is seasonal! Breakfast is served between 7-30 & 9am continental with amazing cappuccino, tea , juice, pastries, cheese, ham, fruit, yogurt you can eat in front lobby area or some did eat on veranda. Exceptional price compared to other hotels would 100 percent recommend and stay again Would just like to thank ALL of the super friendly, thoughtful staff at this hotel who made our stay so welcoming & kindly made sure an iron & board was ready in our room on arrival, as we had a wedding to attend. Also helping us book our return taxi to the airport and chase this up without asking when it was late and give us some snacks to take as missed breakfast due to departure time If you are looking to use the train into Rome a return ticket was 9 euros for 2 people with just half hour journey-be aware it will state on screen if a change may be needed at Ciampino to change train. We visited station day before to check train times, can pay by card. Once purchased remember to activate them before your journey in the separate little green egg shaped machines it puts a stamp on them. Place ticket in machine slot to the right then move left and you hear a click

The hotel, itself, was acceptable with good service, a decent breakfast, fast WIFI, and a spotless room with a comfortable bed. Although in mid March, it was still a bit warm during the day, and we could not figure how to work the A/C. Therefore, we slept with the window open which allowed a good bit of street noise in throughout the night from cars and from a bar located down the street. The neighborhood was safe, and we found the town charming. Be warned that if you're traveling by train, you will have to walk uphill from the station, climb 54 steps, and then walk uphill some more before reaching the hotel. This situation became quite tiresome after four days.

Hotel Cacciani is well located in the centre of Frascati, and near the train station. Good direct connection from Rome Termini. Spotless rooms, large bathroom. Great view from our private balcony. Airconditioning didn’t work, a ventilator was put in the room instead, but this is not sufficient when temperatures are over 30°C. Simple but good breakfast, Italian style. Good cappuccino. Very good value for the money in this family run hotel. We had dinner in the restaurant of the hotel, which we can highly recommend. Pleasant atmosphere, excellent food and amazing views.

Based ourselves here to play some of the golf courses around Rome. Great location in the heart of Frescati. Close to train station for easy access to Rome if you want to stay in a lively town with all the trappings but avoid the city hassle. Hotel accommodation perfect. Staff and service ultra professional and friendly with the family touch that has been running the same restaurant for over a 100 years!!! So yes, they know how to cook and look after people in the right way. The food, where do I start? The fried egg and asparagus starter, just amazing and not what you 'd expect. A bottle of the house wine is from their vineyards which they've owned from the late 1800's.....wow ( nothing your 5* chains can even get close too). This is the real deal; understated , welcoming and a real sense and feel of an operation, staff & family that has a genuine sense of style. For sure on the ' to return to list'.

Recommended to stay in Frascati, not central Rome, we chose Hotel Cacciani because it is family-run and is close to the local rail station. The hotel is well situated, close to the sation and Piazza Marconi for the local buses. We booked a room with terrace and was much as pictured (left) with a large terrace overlooking the station with beautiful far reaching views. Lovely to wake up to and to admire at night. There is a safe within the wardrobe. The room and bathroom are scrupulously cleaned and our bedlinen was changed three times in five nights (pillow cases each night). The Restaurant was busy EVERY day. We observed that many restaurants in Frascati were not at all busy during the week we stayed. Cacciani was, and is obviously a very popular restaurant and has a large terrace with the same view as our room. I would say the restaurant is upmarket (although prices seemed reasonable), people appeared to arrive dressed for dinner reservations it seems rather than turning up ad hoc for dinner on spec. Breakfast is served from 8 a.m. until 9 a.m. There are a range of teas, we had coffee which was excellent. There's a small selection of cereals, a little ham and cheese and beautiful sweet cakes available, as per La Colazione in Italy. If there are mobility issues, probably don't stay in Frascati. If there are not... we recommend the town and the Hotel Cacciani as excellent value for money, friendly, tremendous views (possibly the best) and the perfect base to stay in Frascati.

Devo dire che mi sono trovato estremamente bene. Innanzitutto il parcheggio davanti all'Hotel è comodissimo. Nulla da eccepire sulla camera: spaziosa, pulita e con bella vista. In bagno era tutto perfetto. Colazione abbondante e con vista stupenda.
