The Views Baia - Adults Only

This hotel is a true new gem with the best views in Funchal. The room was available straight away, and it was great; spacious, spotless and huge windows with amazing view. Central Funchal was walkable distance, and the nearest car rental service was quite literally across the road. The nearest supermarket was a bit of a walk away. The cleanliness and hygiene is an important factor to us and I have never seen a hotel as spotless as this one. The hallways and rooms were extremely tidy, hand sanitizer was available on every corner, the pools and spas were constantly cleaned as well as the pools’ waters hygiene measured. The breakfast service was hygienic and supervised for our entire stay. The breakfast was great with loads of variety. We did not eat dinner here, but the lobby bar was cozy with great service and classy live music every night and the room service was delicious and extremely affordable. I had a birthday during my stay and the hotel surprised me with a bottle of sparkling wine and box of confectionary chocolates in room. On top of this the hotel gifted me 35€ voucher to be used on the top foor restaurant, but unfortunately we did not have time to use this. The hotel itself was trendy, and for us the highlight was the indoor SPA of the hotel. Again, as clean as it can be it offered very luxurious SPA moments with pools, saunas and showers not forgetting the amazing view from the SPA too. Overall the hotel was very good value for the money, and the service was top tier. This hotel is your place if you enjoy calm and classy holiday and might not be too attracted to be surrounded the very central Funchal.

We stayed at The Views Baía for 2 nights during our last trip to Madeira and we loved everything about our stay! The views from our room on the 9th floor were absolutely stunning. There’s no better feeling than waking up and seeing the ocean from the balcony😊 We had half board included and really enjoyed all the meals we had. They have a different “theme” for dinner every day (Italian, traditional from Madeira, flavours of the world, etc). Everyone from the team was super friendly and always ready to help with anything we might need! The breakfast a la carte had delicious options to choose from, highly recommend it. The location is also great, right in the heart of Funchal which allows you to explore the main attractions in the city without needing a car (if you would like). We will definitely return one day 🙏🏼

Wonderful hotel, lovely staff,excellent food with plenty of choice. Special thanks to Patricia on reception, Anna Paula and Fransisco in the restaurant who looked after us so well. Really enjoyed the Boogie Woogie bar, really good entertainment and great staff. Best hotel we’ve stayed in !

Very helpful staff - excellent service - Fabiana on hotel reception was especially helpful with bus timetables Shuttle bus from hotel to port area (outside CR7 hotel) works well Outside pool area and adjacent bar good Buffet breakfast, lots of choice, long queues for coffee at the 4 coffee machines, but really excellent scrambled egg and the coffee was worth the wait. Buffet dinner no so good and a tad expensive for the quite average food quality. Room with sea viw good, although spoilt slightly by the 2nd hand smoke drifting in, which meant that balcony unusable. Aircon worked well. Woogie Boogie bar very comfortable, good service and some good live music. NOTE. If arriving by airport shuttle bus or rental car use the REAR entrance to the hotel!

A very nice hotel. Tidy and clean with very friendly staff. We had a spacious room with a small balcony and mountain view through a panorama window. Our bed was king-size. The bathroom was very beautiful as well as the design of the room itself. A water dispenser on every floor. The breakfast had a large variety of food. Continental or English breakfast, fresh fruits, paistery, egg-cook and so on. You can enjoy your meal with an impressive view over Funchal and the bay. What could be improved: on each floor signs that give direction with room numbers because some corridors are very confusing. More hooks in the bathroom for your towls or pyjamas. We strongly recomend this hotel.

We visited The Views Baia 13th-20th March for our honeymoon. The hotel was beautiful and spotlessly clean. We booked a seaview deluxe room and the view was breathtaking. The hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful, especially Francisco who served us most mornings at breakfast. He was very polite and always made time to chat with us. Patricia on reception was also very friendly and even stopped to say hello when we walked past her in Funchal town one afternoon. The breakfast was fantasic. I loved ordering from the à la carte menu that's included with the deluxe rooms, and my husband preferred eating from the buffet and ordering from the omelette station. We went to the Woogie boogie bar a few times before we went out for dinner. There was live music every night from 8pm and some evenings at 6pm. The drink prices were very reasonable, especially for a hotel bar with one of the best views of the island. All the the bar staff were very friendly aswell. The only cons I can think of are that some of the facilities in the room were lacking. We didn't have a dressing table and there wasn't a bin in the room, apart from the one in the bathroom. There was also no iron and when my husband phoned reception to ask if an iron could be sent to our room, he was told that he had to go downstairs to a storage room and use an iron in there. We ended up going to Worten in the shopping centre down the road and buying a cheap iron to keep in the room. Those are very small things through and certainly didn't change our opinion of the fantastic hotel. We had an amazing holiday and will definitely return.

With only a short walk from the seafront the Views Baia is a luxurious hotel at very affordable prices. The staff and facilities are amazing. I was greeted like a friend and the team made my wife and I feel special. Our deluxe room was spectacular and the views across the city of Funchal towards the bay was just as amazing. The spa and other health facilities were relaxing and very enjoyable. You MUST visit Octavio and his amazing team at the michelin star restaurant - DESARMA.

We visited the Views Baia in Feb for a short ten day holiday. We found the hotel was just as the pictures had described, and better in fact. Our room was spacious but we had a problem with the lights and air conditioning. Despite a maintenance man trying to repair the air conditioning, the problem continued. We got in touch with Lidia, Guest Relations, who immediately responded to the problem and organised a change of room. This was an upgraded room where we spent our remaining holiday in a very comfortable setting. Nothing appears too much trouble for Lidia and her courteous team. The hotel is very comfortable, the facilities and views are excellent. We would certainly return again to the Views Baia.

Just back from an amazing holiday here. So much to say about this hotel. We were on the 8th floor with a Mountain View. Although the hotel is beside a busy hotel you would not know from this side. Rooms so quiet, lovely sea peak. Maids were fantastic room was spotless and they never disturbed you like is often the case at other hotels. Breakfast was incredible, everything you could ask for in a lovely setting with a fabulous view. The pool and spa were lovely and quiet. We always got sunbeds even mid afternoon after trips out. This is easily the best hotel we have stayed in. Adult only really makes a difference. If you are after a peaceful holiday, a bit of pampering and the opportunity to get out and explore a beautiful island this is the place for you. A massive thank you to the maids who meant I really didn’t lift a finger for the whole of our holiday. Highly recommend this hotel.
