Super 8 by Wyndham Gallipolis Pt Pleasant Area

The outside of the building is now run down and disheveled. Walking in, the lobby was bright and clean, and staff was personable. In my room half of the lights didn’t work, and if the fan/light in the bathroom was turned on, the room was filled with an awful rattling noise. Pool and hot tub were an odd shade of blue green and yellow green.

Overall was pretty good. When we were first checked in we weren’t too fond of one lady who seemed to be the manager, just seemed like she had better things to do, but we didn’t see her after that. When I asked about the gym she said “just a treadmill, bike, and olyptical. No weights though insurance wants too much money.” In the pics it looks decent but it’s just a storage room with those 3 things in there. Most people aren’t looking to workout at a hotel but if you are I’d just do what I do and go to a local gym. The hotel is just eh. Nothing special but nothing nasty or unsettling. Okay area. A large group was checking in when I arrived and it took about 15 minutes to check in with only 1 person at the check in desk. Also, with a full hotel, there was no hot water for a shower in the morning.

Great check in, very friendly & accommodating, clean & spacious room. Nice looking pool area. Waffles & donuts & things for a pretty good breakfast. My only disappointment was barely luke warm water my entire shower, w it all the way on hot.

The property smelled clean when you walked into the lobby but the prevailing lingering cigarette smell in the elevator and in the hallway and occasionally in our non-smoking room, was not pleasant. The room was clean and comfortable. Coffee in the morning was very good.

Our family of four stopped here on our trip through so we could visit the Mothman Museum the following morning. Hotel is a little dated but upkept really well! It was nice and clean, staff was great at check in and out, beds were comfortable and the double room was spacious. Breakfast options were okay with some warm eggs the day we stayed. Better than your usual cold cereals and toast. Also right next door to a Bob Evans if you prefer a heartier breakfast!

It was helpful in giving me a safe place to stay while being out on the road for work.

This was a one night stop on a family trip. Check in was easy, staff was friendly at check in and breakfast, and the room was clean and comfortable. It was quiet yet close to the highway for easy on and off.

The next time I would ask for a room in the rear away from the highway noise. Also not get the room on the end of the of the building near the exit, the customer traffic in and out all night very noisy.
