Sleep Inn & Suites Galveston Island

The lobby has an awful mildew smell. The showers are run down. The rooms still look dirty and the view is horrible.

There is a strange odor when you walk in the lobby. Everything was clean enough but there was a random hole in the wall in front of the elevators on the first floor. The breakfast was a typical continental breakfast. The trip website says indoor pool but it's outside. I didn't see any fitness room. The tub had areas of caulk that was missing. But overall I did enjoy my stay.

There was a bed bug on my bed room 417. I didn’t stay at the property, I have been trying to reach the general manager Dee Singh y phone and email. It’s been two weeks so far and still no call back or email received regarding my complaint. Iv’e call numerous times and the front desk says all she can do is see if Dee has received my email, that’s all she can do. She’s just waiting for Dee to review my email. No one cares that this hotel has bed bugs, no urgency what’s so ever. I’m starting to think that I’m just another customer complaining about the end bugs since no call back or anything regarding this situation. Please have someone call me to discuss this matter please. 210-740-6623.

Property was OK breakfast was not a very good choice of items. But we needed a place to stay until our cruise

Great customer service. Room was very clean and comfortable. Overall, hotel was a bit dated and had an old or stale odor. Breakfast buffet very limited. Milk was spoiled, juice machine was watered down, and cappuccino machine was out so service. However, the price was very good. Overall I am satisfied.

You get what you pay for. This facility is worse than a Motel 6. First walk into the room and dead roaches on the bathroom floor. Second room has black spiders on the wall and dead spiders in the sink. Soda machines take your money and front desk is nonchalant about it. Night Front desk staff seem to never be at the front unless you ring that bell several times. If you ask for extra sheets they have hair on them (clearly not clean). Free breakfast isnt worth getting sick over. Entire place needs to be shut down by the health department before they kill someone. Not sure if we got spider bites on our legs or rash. But for sure it came from this nasty hotel. Do better. Will NEVER be back! Dont be fooled. They are quick to offer you to keep your car on the priperty until you return from your cruise but its a $10 shuttle ride per person to the ship but youll have to find your way back to the hotel at the end of the cruise. After the visit ill rather pay extra to park at the Galveston Pier.

I think the price was a little high for this hotel. Staff was nice but it definitely needs upgrades. Run down on the inside, dirty, room had a horrible smell and the bathroom wall in shower wasn’t attached to the actual wall. Breakfast was cereal or waffles. I wouldn’t stay here again.

Lobby smelled, our mini fridge was broke and we were told to take all our cold things to kitchen to hold very inconvenient. And the down comforters were literally shredded. When we asked for towels I was told no since they weren’t cleaning our room.
