Kilbree House B&B

We booked the Kilbree House at the last minute and we were so grateful and fortunate! Wonderful hosts, amazing breakfast, and a great location - a short drive to Galway city center, shopping, and local attractions! We would happily stay at Kilbree House again!

Beautiful little spot. Our room was warm and cosy with everything with needed. Lots of little touches. Electric blanket on when we got there as we arrived late on a cold night. But the breakfast topped it off. We had eggs benni but the owner brought us out freshly baked cheese scones and array of little appetizer like smoked salmon with caviar. I was trilled with the little extras for amazing value. Would highly recommend

Excellent place to base myself for a night visiting Galway. Very spacious and comfortable room, and the breakfast in the morning was superb! First time I've had amuse bouche in the morning. Thanks for a lovely stay.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Kilbree House B&B in Galway. Mike and his staff were very welcoming, professional, and courteous. The accommodations were clean, roomy, comfortable, and relaxing. The menu and quality of the meals were superb. I highly recommend staying at the Kilbree House if you're in the Galway area.

Stayed 2 nights here. Pulled up looked promising nice wall round the driveway with there 4 star b&b rating sign.. key was left out for us as we were arriving late after work. So didnt meet the owners when we arrived. We were on ground floor and only ones here on the first night. Upon entry to the building there was a old musty smell like a old people's home. But the room looked good, was a big spacious room for a b&b was clean in tidy and smelled nice it had ur usual stuff kettle in tea and coffee, but heard noise like boiler flue running didnt pay no heed. Then at night heard it more sitting in silence wile trying to sleep and felt cold freezing air coming in the room so had light on looking to see what it was and there was a vent above the window which seems to be blowing cold air into room for what reason i do not no was noisey in cold. Only one small radiator in room over beside window were cold air blows in not ideal.. Bed was like sleeping on a ironing board flat and hard. No quilt to keep you warm thin sheet with 2 itchy furry throw over blankets didnt get much sleep with wakening up cold and the noise of the fan. Shower has good pressure and heat, well for one shower atleast, the partner went in after me in some how it ran out of warm water i was only in there for 3- 4 mins top, she started screaming the waters freezen.. Long cordoor of rooms we were at the end. On first night we were only people there 2nd night few others checked in the noise was stand clear doors banging in people walking up in down the wooden floor cordoor trailing things. One of the owners could be heard walking up in down throughout the stay draging her feet with slippers on like a elephant very loud she seemed be staying in room next door.. Upstairs where i presume the living quarters are very noisy aswell people walking about dropping stuff banging doors moving chairs etc you could literally hear a pin drop. if you are a lightish sleeper u wont get much sleep here. Breakfast room freezing aswell you could see ur breath in there the breakfast was well presented but tasted like reheated food microwave was going flat out in kitchen and was no beans on the menu so had to be reheating the food for the fry, the bacon and sausages and eggs came out sweating way condensation on them u coulda bounced the sausages of the wall in woulda came back in one piece.. bacon like rubber aswell. The tea and toast was nicest, the rest was terrible. As you see in the pictures online big buffet of food was no such display when we were here. Stuck to the cornflakes the next morning. As we both felt sick after the previous mornings breakfast in had to go to the toilet to do number 2s atleast 5 times after it. Owners are not very pleasant. The husband didnt even ask how our stay was going or anything when we met him at the breakfast in the morning. Would not stay here again. Pay a bit more for a hotel.

This B&B really has a lot going for it. It is located close to Galway town. Our room was huge, the bed was so comfortable. The bath towels were fluffy and big enough to wrap around you comfortably. Our room was spotless. The decor is dated and faded but that’s a matter of opinion. The water was hot and plentiful but there was absolutely no pressure in the shower. For us though the biggest turnoff was the smell of stale cigarette smoke in the entrance hall and the sitting room.

Fantastic b b one of the best spotlessly clean Mike Annette staff so friendly and helpful lovely clean and warm room nicest breakfast wide a choice beautifully cooked first time staying p g won't be last 10 out of10

My partner and I had a fabulous stay in this bnb New Year’s Eve . The gentleman who owns it couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful . The room Was fabulous comfortable, spotless and loads of room . The decor of the room was modern led colour changing lights in ceiling etc . Would definitely stay here again !

An amazing stay at Kilbree House B&B! Absolutely luxurious! Clean and very comfortable accommodation with delicious breakfast! Parking on-site. Thank you for the attentiveness of our host. The overall stay exceeded our expectations.
