Hotel Borgia

We stayed a few nights in Borgia when in Gandia. Prior to arriving, the hotel was responsive to queries, though only in Spanish! Location was excellent, around 15 mins walk to the train/ coach station & near the main promenade, with easy access to dining options. The hotel facade & lobby itself looked nice but the room was a bit worn, especially the table tops which were peeling & off putting. It was great to have a balcony facing a few bars & cafes but it was a tad noisy at night so thankfully we had some ear plugs. There was ample storage space but the desk surfaces & drawers were quite dirty, as if they hadn't been cleaned. There was a fridge in the hotel & a safe in the wardrobe but no key. A bottle of water was given compliments of the hotel on the first day. Toiletries were in small bottles which was not environmentally friendly & they didn't replenish these on the second day so we had to request some at reception. The person at reception didn't speak English so we had to rely on Google translate 😁 Breakfast was served from 7am on weekdays & 8am on weekends. There was a selection of hot & cold food, fruit, yoghurt, pastries & bread. The hot food was lukewarm to cold & wasn't anything exciting but the chorizo, fried eggs & chilli peppers were welcome. The fruit looked like they were abandoned & were mostly not neatly sliced like some pictures suggest. They were often bruised & the sliced pineapple looked like it was almost off when it was served, with black & brown spots at the edges. Pastries like the croissants were soggy rather than crisp; bread rolls weren't bad, & the peach jam was lovely. The toaster took forever to brown anything & coffee didn't taste great. Juices tasted more like cordials. In short, breakfast wasn't great but we did manage to fill ourselves up before our daily excursions. All in all, the stay at Borgia was good. It provided a good base for us as we explored the area. There are other accommodation options at the beach area but the base in the centre allowed us easy access to transport to Denia & when we travelled from & returned to Valencia.

A very good 3* hotel in a great location for exploring this charming city.

Good value for money hotel in the centre of the old town area, including breakfast and private parking

The room, shower and general facilites were very good although the actual room furniture was a little “tired” and could do with being renewed. The staff were friendly and helpful and the secure parking at the winter rate of 7€ was I thought very reasonable. The location for the historic part Gandía was perfect. The meals in the restaurant at 12€ for a set menu (3 choices x 3 course both at lunchtime and evening dinner was very good. Breakfast we did not use.

Our usual stay at the Hotel Borgia. Location, staff and service and food all as nice as always BUT oh my ,do they need to spend some money on new beds!

Hotel Borgia never fails to please. Wonderful location for Gandia and surrounding attractions. Gandia Playa just 10 mins drive away. On site parking really really useful. Staff endlessly helpful and kind. Nice breakfast and bar. Meals good too. There can be noise from surrounding rooms and from traffic but no worse than any other hotel in Spain. Really recommend this lovely hotel and all its staff.

Location and friendly staff.

El mejor hotel con el mejor equipo. Somos 130 personas que hemos permanecido del 28/12 hasta el 2/1/2024. Una estancia de 6 días de 10. Hay que nombrar a tod@s y es que por mucho espacio que te dé TripAdvisor siempre será escaso. Carlos, Oscar ( Chef' del hotel) Valentina, Davinia ( jefas de sala) Silvia, Bea y casa una de vosotras( responsables de recepción) Angélica y resto de compañeras ( ayudantes cocina) y a mis adorables "Ninis" solo deciros que sois MARAVILLOS@S. Atención personalizada a los clientes, jamás un no por respuesta. A todos y cada uno de los clientes, se les da un trato como si fuesen los únicos y más importantes. No cambies jamás . Habéis conseguido que ya estén "apuntados" para el de este 2024 y eso muy pocos hoteles lo consiguen y vosotros sois garantía de éxito. Gracias y mil gracias. Os quiero mucho y más.
