We booked an apartment at the Dom & House Old Town Groba Apartment through ******* in March of 2024 for a booking on June 10th. In the time in between, I received several confirmation emails from ******* including 3 days before arriving. I contacted the property management company Dom and House by email on the Friday before our arrival on Monday with all of our arrival information, asked about storing our luggage, and where to find their check in off and received a reply about the office location and luggage storage and no mention of any problems. When we arrived on Monday, we were told that the apartment had been rented long term 8 days earlier, long term. Initially we were told that that they hadn’t received the reservation from ******* but I show them several confirmations, a paid receipt, and the email I received from them. The story then changed to a problem with their system. We had chosen a specific apartment in the old city center in a quiet location and their only offer to us was an apartment 15 minutes away without similar reviews. After complaining, they offered a 10% discount on an apartment that was already obviously cheaper than the one we already paid in full which was not and offer. This made the customer service seem even worse. Luckily ******* stepped in and refunded our payment and booked us in a similar apartment with a higher price without charging the difference. I would not recommend booking any property with company because of their terrible customer service and obvious ability to lie and in my opinion scam a customer.
