This hotel is a real game of two halves. It is also on the more expensive side so it is fair to raise the negatives in my opinion because in the end you will ask yourself “did I get value for THAT money?”. Positives: Really nice, large, clean room (premium double, mountain view, balcony). THE best location in Seefeld without doubt, summer or winter. Just on the edge of the village with near views of Gschwandtkopf, chair lift, ski jumps, swimming centre, cross country ski, sports, river, church as well as Reither Spitze in the further distance. There’s so much to look at from your balcony, it’s just great and beats a hotel in the village any day. Finally, there’s a bike hire shop about 50 feet away for E-bikes, mountain bikes and so on. The hotel has a lot to it; spa facilitates, gym, yoga room, massage, saunas, steam, whirlpools and two pools indoors and out. The restaurant is light and airy and offers half board as well as just breakfast. It runs like clockwork and the waiting staff were really friendly. The bar area is quite chic and cosy and there’s a large terrace. Negatives: This hotel is noisy in 3 different ways; 1) the main road is right outside and everything is delivered at the front of the hotel. Therefore, from about 6am to 9 expect, trucks rumbling past and delivery trucks stopping. It can be VERY loud at times due to this location. 2) The bar opposite (part of another hotel) plays music until 11pm and it is loud and obtrusive. A lot of it is also rubbish which doesn’t help matters. 3) The hotel’s walls and ceilings are thin and sound travels. Doors bang shut a lot and heavy heeled people above can be annoying. If you need absolute peace and you get stressed out if you don’t get it, then DO NOT book this hotel. If you can live with the noise a bit, the views and location outweigh this problem in my opinion. Some balconies don’t have dividers between them meaning that you can have that slightly uncomfortable feeling when your neighbours are outside too. There is no coffee making facility in the room and the coffee from the restaurant is simply awful. The restaurant generally is a funny place; there are the positives mentioned above, but you cannot get away from that slightly recycled feeling (buffet in the morning features some of last night’s food) as well as the very stiff and formulaic (and actually slightly odd) choices you get for dinner each night if you’re on half board. The food should really be outstanding at €40 per day each for HB but it really isn’t. It’s very expensive and YOU FEEL CONTROLLED in this restaurant. Finally, no table water other than a €5 bottle – totally unacceptable! We had the HB package but we won’t do it again. Coffee somewhere else first in the morning, then in and out quick for breakfast. Final negative is around the spa. The pictures are clever and wide angle; it’s not nearly as big or clean or modern looking in reality and the outside pool area is cramped and disappointing. Steam room was cold!
