Silver Beach Hotel & Apartments

One of the best hotel I have been to. Perfect location and size, clean, v.good food and service. Very well managed. Every one is loooking after the guests. they are very helpful. Eleni in the pool bar-charming and proffessional, not only in making drinks. The "garden" is well groomed. Limited selection in the bar helps to keep guests on their good behaviour. Very relaxing and quiet place. For me 5 *. Excellent food, service and acommodation

The place is a bit isolated but you’re in luck if you have a car. Local buses stop nearby on the main road and it’s a ten minute walk or just use a cab. We stayed 4 days and loved the place. Our room was very large with a balcony overlooking the sea. It had all the mod cons and was cleaned daily. Food is included so that’s all meals everyday plus you get free soft drinks, beer and wines included. Other hotels/ resorts should take note. The staff were all friendly, helpful and always available. Nothing was too difficult. It just made for a perfect holiday. I can’t stress how important this was after being in Croatia. You also have the choice of using the beach or one of the swimming pools. Beach towels are free and can be changed every couple of days. There’s a gym and other facilities making this place all inclusive and kid / family friendly. A big thanks to all the staff.

We decided to book Crete as we were visiting friends and family in the UK and we thought it would be nice to go away on holiday for a week as a family (Party on 6) I wouldn't hesitate in booking this hotel again. The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly. The food was varied and fresh with plenty to choose from. Location was perfect for us as it was quiet however a short taxi ride allowed us access to shops,bars and restaurants in the local town. A special mention to the lovely lady Eleni who works behind the pool bar, nothing was too much trouble and she was always up for a laugh. A few tears were shed when we had to say goodbye.

This is an exceptional hotel. The staff are ALL friendly and helpful, especially the more senior members. The All-Inclusive buffet was varied enough that I never had to eat the same meal twice in a week—interesting & varied dishes of superb quality; so tempting that my waistline undoubtedly increased. Our room was facing the sea, very spacious, clean with quality material throughout. Good mattress & pillows. Also had a fridge, kettle, crockery etc. The sea view is worth paying for and the pool bar is remarkably close. I've recommended this hotel to my friends already!

12 of us came for a family holiday. Rooms were so dated not modern at all. Also put next to the Scorpio nightclub and others opposite beach bars so very noisy at night hotel staff were lovely and food had a good choice but absolutely no entertainment for children in the day and nothing for adults or children in the night. Wouldn't come back again paid a lot of money for this holiday and didn't get what we paid for.

Dear travelers who are going to visit the Silver Beach Hotel. We want to provide you with, we believe, important information that can save you from the troubles that we have already encountered (at the moment we are still in the hotel). So, the main issue we complain is disgusting work of air conditioners in the room. The air temperature in a room is too high, which definitely doesn’t allow you to have a normal rest during the day and sleep at night. Especially if you are allergic or have any heart problems. Moreover, at the same time, it is impossible to open the windows at night for two reasons: warm air and a huge number of aggressive mosquitoes. Unfortunately, after a few attempts to fix something, the hotel management eventually refused to solve this problem, advising either to get used to the warm temperature in the room or even leave the hotel (we’ve paid already full price to the travel agency). Initially, they offered our parents (who really need low temperature in the room by night due to health reasons) room with normal air conditioner, but just for few days not for the whole period we are going to stay here. Also, they told us that the hotel has a division into two parts: old and new. The old part (narrow windows, old-fashion rooms and air conditioners) is allocated to the Rainbow travel agency. The new rooms in the new buildings are for their own clients as well as for Booking clients. They will not accommodate Rainbow clients there and will not relocate them in ANY case, only for an additional full price. Here is such an incorrect segregation of customers. Never before in any hotel in the world that we visited, we have not met with such. We believe this absolutely doesn’t correspond to the level of 4 star hotel. In the future, we will publish a private review (advantages and disadvantages) with real photos and videos attached here and on special travel & social media portals. We hope this short review will be useful for you and it will allow you to avoid the situation that we are unpredictable faced with. Thank you for your attention and take care.

We had an amazing stay! Everyone was so lovely and everything very organized. We will definetly going to return here!

Un estupendo hotel con acceso directo a la playa en la zona de Platanias, Creta. Situado muy bien para moverse (en coche) y visitar Chania (a 20 min), Elafonisi, la garganta de Samaria o los pueblitos del sur (poco más de 1 hora). Las habitaciones son espaciosas, muy limpias y cómodas, muchas de ellas con acceso directo a la playa. El buffet bastante decente para ser un "todo incluido". Platos de verduras y especialidades locales muy ricas. Sólo echamos de menos algo de legumbre (no había absolutamente nada), algo más de variedad de fruta (poca), y sobre todo, un café decente (era terrible). Pero bueno, correcto para estar unos días. El ambiente, al menos cuando fuimos en mayo, es tranquilo y familiar. Se agradece que no haya barra libre de licores, no había turistas borrachos desde las 10 de la mañana como en otros resorts. También ayuda que sea un hotel más bien pequeño. Las piscinas están muy bien. La playa no es gran cosa, piedras y mar abierto, por lo que cuando estuvimos el agua estaba bastante revuelta. Lo mejor del hotel, en todo caso, su personal: absolutamente amable y encantador, todas y cada una de las personas.

Séjour d'une semaine en couple et All Inclusive, je recommande vivement ce "club hôtel". Certes ce n'est pas un véritable 4* français, mais c'est quasiment toujours le cas à l'étranger. Les chambres sont spacieuses et fonctionnelles, les deux piscines étaient quasiment vides, la plage est à 2m et très grande si besoin, il y a des transat de qualité partout (l'été surement pas assez, comme partout..). Le buffet est de bonne qualité, leurs fruits et légumes sont excellents et aucun problème de quantité, les boissons et le mobilier sont "moyens". Et je voulais vraiment remercier TOUT le personnel qui est charmant, agréable et qui cherche vraiment à vous faire passer un bon séjour. Etant intolérant au gluten, j'avais prévenu avant et le cuisinier, le personnel du matin et le staff était au courant et faisait attention, m'indiquait ce qui était autorisé, me faisait chauffer du pain spécial, le tout en voulant vraiment faire plaisir, pas du calcul. TOP ! Par contre, choisissez de louer une voiture avant ou à l’aéroport, c'est quasiment indispensable (Nous: 165€ la semaine)
