Hotel Shipka

For the third year now, we have been happy to come to the Shipka Hotel. And every time our vacation turns out better than the previous one. This time we arrived in May, it was very comfortable for us. The sea is still cold, but the hotel has a swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna, steam room, so we really enjoyed the trip. The hotel staff is very helpful and friendly. It’s very pleasant to communicate with them, they will definitely help you with everything. The food is really very good. We liked. The room is clean, comfortable with a very beautiful view from the balcony. Everything you need for a good holiday. We sincerely thank the management and staff of the hotel for their excellent work!

We visited this hotel two summers and we will definitely come a third time! Everything is at a high level, good and tasty food, various drinks, the rooms are clean and comfortable, very beautiful view from the balcony. The staff is very polite and friendly. The reception staff happily helped us find an excursion to Nessebar. We are very grateful to them! In addition, the sea in Golden Sands is very pleasing - clean and warm, an excellent option not only for young people, but also for families. Near the hotel there is also everything you need: shops, supermarkets, cafes, pharmacy, currency exchange. The hotel itself has two swimming pools, a jacuzzi, a sauna, and a fitness center. We used all of this and were very pleased! We thank all the hotel staff for their excellent work and high quality of service!

Thanks to all the staff and management for organizing this vacation! Everything was at a high level for a democratic price. We were very worried about the transfer to the airport, due to the fact that the travel company didn`t ansswer to us, and the reception staff kindly helped with this. The double room was comfortable and clean. We had All Inclusive, so we were able to enjoy full meals and bar. The children were very happy with the pool. We recommend this hotel!

We really enjoyed my stay at this hotel! We visited Bulgaria for the first time as a family and were very satisfied. Clean, beautiful sea, great weather, nice people and, of course, we were very lucky with the choice of hotel! We had a room with a great view from the terrace, it was very spacious and comfortable, the room has everything you need. Satisfied with the work of all employees, from the cleaners and kitchen to the reception. The girls at the reception helped and advised us in all matters. Food and drinks are also delicious and varied. The hotel itself has a very convenient and advantageous location. The beach is a few minutes away from the hotel. In addition, there are supermarkets, restaurants, and various shops nearby. The hotel has two swimming pools, a sauna, a bathhouse, and a gym. A convenient playground for children. We were very interested in the free billiard) Many thanks once again to the entire management and staff of the hotel for a wonderful and unforgettable vacation! We promise to come back to you again!

great hotel pools brilliant as was indoor pool and hot tub 1 big letdown was the food didnt seem to cater for english same food every day was the worst hotel food we have ever had i would advise b& and not much of a selection had to eat out most days i would advise b&b only beach was great but very expensive costing 21 pounds for a day 2 beds an umbrella and 2 mats compared to altinkum in turkey 3 pounds 45 m will not be returning to this hotel

Just returned from a very enjoyable two week stay at the shipka. The room was spacious with bedding and towels changed every other day, the shower and air con were excellent. The food was good and plentiful. hotel facilities were, fine ( pools, gym etc). The hotel is well located with a short walk to the beach, bars, and main bus to Varna. Would definitely consider the Shipka if returning to Golden Sands

Avoid this Hotel! This is the worst hotel in my life! We have booked 11 days, 4 days later left this hotel. 4*-is a joke! Actual 2,5* Restaurant is 3* (see pictures) Mens Club in the hotel with many cheap girls under the restaurant! (See pictures) Mattress is terrible with lots of bed bugs! Food is terrible, poor cheap meal,sweets, one day eat pork ball for main diner,next day same pork ball for soup.

I stayed in this hotel as a solo traveler for 5 nights and 6 days in August of this year and enjoyed every day! Starting on the first day when my bus arrived before check in time, I was allowed to leave my suitcases in a secure room and got to enjoy the amenities even before checking in. Once I checked in, I really liked the room: the bed was nice and the furniture was fine, even though some people on here said that it was old and awful, that was not the case with what I have seen. The bathroom was clean, there was soap and shampoo available. The best part was that the room had a balcony with a sea view, a bit far away but still an enjoyable view. Because of tre way the hotel was built, it is always cold and cozy there even on a hot August day. The food was great: the vegetables and fruits were very fresh, the food was well cooked, I would feel full after every meal. The sea is a short walk and quite clean, and both pools in the hotel are enjoyable, and same for the sauna. All the staff was spectacular: I would always see waiters clean up the empty plates from the tables before one could even ask them to do so, there was always someone cleaning the hotel premises. It felt nice to stay in such a hotel. Big thanks to the entire team working at the hotel, they made my vacation better. I'd like to separately thank Tatiana who works at the reception. She is extremely nice and helpful and made my stay even better! I will be coming back to this hotel in the future and will recommend it to everyone as well as families with kids. 10/10

The small things make the big difference. This hotel is dirty. We found someone else’s clothes still in our room on day one. The mens toilets around the hotel have never in 4 days had any toilet paper I find this absolutely disgusting. We have been short of bedding since arriving and have had to go to reception to get what should already be in place. Room service have been once so far and only left us hand towels so again had to go to reception to get the required items. Family have had to ask for toilet paper. All these things are basics that you should not have to ask for. The food is poor, yesterday we ate out again as there was no meat at all on the menu vegetarian option only. Breakfast is the same every day cheese a couple of hams pizza hot dogs sloppy scrambled eggs and hard fried eggs. The tables in dining room are not changed after each customer and I don’t think they are changed between each serving this is just the standard. Go to the bar and they don’t have lemonade or sprite/seven up etc. just rola cola, which is ok but no lemonade option at all, I mean who actually drinks soda water or sparkling water. We have met one young girl on reception who is so rude, probably due to the training provided by the hotel. I am still here at this hotel for another 5 days and I will speak to the manager if they have an issue with my review
