Great National Gomersal Park Hotel and Spa

Staff were lovely, helpful and the service was great. However, we were late being given our room as they were behind on the cleaning. Wouldn't usually be an issue but we just needed to check-in, drop off our bags and go. Staff did try to make the room ready asap which was great. Room was ok, a little tired, needing some updating/fixing up as it was missing a toilet roll holder and the wallpaper was peeling by the window but otherwise it was nice. Some of the hallways were a little smelly for some reason, there are plug-in's to try and cover this but they didn't seem to do much. Didn't have any food so I can't comment

Lovely place to stay. Only 4 star because the hotel rooms could be a bit more updated. The restaurant was really nice furnished. Spa facilities & treatments were nice too. The maintenance was great too, you can see the staff keeping everything in check. Most importantly the service was excellent, including Jess and Simon on reception and Isabel from the restaurant went above and beyond. Really friendly and helpful. Thank you for a lovely stay.

I'd never stayed before and didn't realise it was an option before the hotel booking company we use suggested it. From the moment I arrived, the staff were pleasant and not just going through the motions of the automated greeting. Room was clean and the food was good. A particular mention to Isabelle in the restaurant who was an absolute star. From the moment I booked a table to being seated later and the table service, she was a delight. The restaurant was busy but she was relaxed, efficient and friendly the entire time. The rest of the staff were also good but she deserves a mention and I hopenshe gets recognised by the hotel because I'm not the only who thought it. Will definitely stay again and would recommend.

Spa - AMAZING, had a weekend spa experience, all facilities in the spa are top notch, very well maintained, outdoor hot tub gets a little busy but plently of rotation, the sauna isn't all that hot but the sauna by the pool is a much better temperature, spa team were so lovely, massage was good, free drinking water in the spa. Great meal in the restaurant too, had to pre order food as was very busy, service a little slow, did have to ask for things a few times, but probably due to being busy. Hotel was a let down, rooms very outdated and dilapidated, shower was poor and beds very old, could hear everything the rooms around us and the corridor.

Had a wonderful stay recently, the hotel staff of Abbie and Maddy were friendly, kind and helpful. I would strongly recommend staying at this hotel

Sharon and her team in the restaurant are simply wonderful - from the time we arrived to the time we left we felt like royalty - We were lucky enough to try out their upcoming afternoon tea and as a regular afternoon tea person that regularly frequents places such as Grantley Hall Bettys and Mama Doreens I can unreservedly fully recommend this establishment too - I think the Spa looks excellent also - A big thank you again - Kindest regards Neil & mum Maggie

Returned recently from a 30th Birthday treat, it was amazing! The facilities are excellent, the treatments were the best I’ve ever had, the food was delicious and was included in our package and a comfy bed to sleep in! Can’t want to go back!!

The grounds of the hotel are stunning & very picturesque. Some of the staff were reasonably polite & and friendly.However, the absolutely vile smell of the drains coming through into the en-suite bathroom was stomach churning. It is advertised as a "Spa Hotel," but they charge an additional £30 each to use it, despite the rooms already being charged at nearly £80 per night. The decor is old-fashioned & dusty looking. The bed was like a small double & It was that uncomfortable, I wouldn't let my dog sleep on it !! There was also a lot of noise coming from the roof terrace facilities. I would never choose to stay in this hotel again.

Absolutely wonderful hotel with a great warmth and welcome upon arrival. The grounds and car park area is huge, spacious and easily accessible. Staff are very attentive and professional. Lovely ambience and fantastic restaurant/bar 👏 The breakfast earlier was good a great plethora of choice 👍🙏
