Strandakar Hotell & Restaurang

Wonderful small hotel in a peaceful area of gorgeous Gotland. Spacious room with good facilities including bathrope, coffee making facilities and fast wifi. Our room has view towards the sea and was very quiet. Plentiful breakfast buffet. Very friendly and dedicated hosts.

This is a family-run hotel which has a beautiful countryside location surrounded by pine trees. The rooms have a very stylish, contemporary design. Each room has its own terrace facing the pine trees which gives it a very special setting. This is a perfect place for relaxation. The hosts are very personal and welcoming. It is my understanding that the owners have done the interior design themselves. They are to be congratulated for this achievement! To be recommended!

I stayed at the hotel for one night but would have loved staying there longer. The hotel room had two floors with a staircase in between. The interior design was extremely elegant and there were lots of anemities in the hotel room. In the evening they had a "grillkväll" which was a buffet of grilled food. It was absolutely delicious and locals visited the hotel just for the food. They told us that certain days of the week they have a tasting menu which is rumoured to be very good. We didn't have time to try it as we were travelling to another place the next day. The woman who owns the hotel was very personal and friendly. She gave us a background story on the hotel and had clearly put a lot of thought into everything. There were lots of board games and games in the yard which were fun. The hotel was very close to a fishing village and a beach. There were also roads suited for jogging or biking. Keep in mind that the closest pharmacy was quite far away (not a reflection on the quality of the hotel, but good to know in case something happens). Overall I highly recommend this hotel! It really felt like the countryside and was very charming!

Ein kleines, abseits gelegenes super Hotel. Das Besitzerpaar kümmert sich persönlich um die Gäste und ist sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Die Zimmer sind gut eingerichtet und grosszügig. Das Bett bequem und das Badezimmer gross und sehr sauber. Das Essen ist sehr lecker. Vieles wird im Haus selber produziert und möglichst lokal eingekauft. Leider hatte am Montag nur das Bistro offen. Die anderen Tage servieren sie ein Tasting Menue. Das haben wir leider verpasst. Falls wir wieder einmal auf Gotland kommen, ist das Strandsskar ein muss.

Vi blev så väl bemötta här. Från att vi checkade in tills vi åkte. Mycket familjärt. Det råder ett stort lugn. Kändes lyxigt. Så många fina detaljer. Genomtänkt. Maten var fantastisk.

Fantastiskt. Lugnt och trevligt hotell med god mat och personlig service. God och välkomponerad frukost som man längtade till varje morgon.
