Bull Dorado Beach & Spa

Stayed here for two weeks as a family of 5. We stayed on the seventh floor and had a bit of a mixed experience with the hotel. The good bits, the poolside bar which cooked food to order with a decent selection. I felt sorry for the staff here who seemed to have multiple tasks to do continuously, yet they never seemed flustered. Branded spirits are included with all inclusive. The views from the hotel are great, you can see Tenerife on a clear day. There are plenty of beaches nearby, however the closest one to the hotel was covered in fag ends and is very popular with the locals on the weekend. Though we did enjoy feeding the fish at this beach and there are lots of crabs too. Anfi Del Mar was our favourite beach which is around a 25 minute walk, or €5 taxi, €2.80 bus (number 1, 9, 91). The staff are all friendly, particularly the three entertainers (Alba, Sabina and Yasmin) who went out of their way with our children. There is a variety of activities and a market on Monday evenings with hairbraiding and jewellery. The spa was also an added bonus with kids allowed to use the indoor pool between 10-12. Oh and we were also treated to a couple of random fashion shows around the pool which I found amusing although the older female guests appeared to enjoy them. The wifi is good, the whole hotel is covered including the nearest beach although it go down a few times whilst we were there (the worst was for two days which was outside of the hotels control). The bad bits, the lifts. When going down from the 7th floor to the first, one of the lifts would stop at the third but the doors wouldn’t open and then it would start again and end up at -1 (spa floor) where the doors would open. I thought it was just me but it wasn’t. I often had to wait several minutes for a lift to appear, particularly in the mornings. The single glass lift actually seemed to be quicker although unfortunately that broke on our last few days. The evening food choice wasn’t great, the ‘themed nights’ weren’t very obvious with perhaps three dishes offered. You’re lucky to find a table when heading to the restaurant at later times for breakfast and dinner, they ran out of high chairs at peak times. The music by the pool was a hotel playlist which was repeated each day. Whilst i didn’t mind the music (in fact it would be great if the hotel could provide a list of songs) after two weeks it did become a bit annoying, especially when the kids started picking up on the swear words. On Mondays there was no speaker wheeled out as it’s the entertainers day off so the atmosphere isn’t great, there were no activities at all. We had a mixed experience with the miniclub. The kids loved it and spent a lot of time there but you’re supposed to supervise the children and not leave them unattended - so if you’re looking for a drop off and go kids club, this resort isn’t for you. Just returned from a 10 day stay and had a fantastic holiday. Hotel is brilliant, exceeded our expectations and is definitely more than a 3 star hotel. Staff are all so friendly, helpful and they work so hard! The cleanliness of the hotel is exceptional. Every staff member we encountered was lovely and couldn’t do enough for you! Particularly Yere the Barman in the Disco and the lady in the snack bar, they never stopped and were always pleasant. Food is very good quality and always hot. The food at breakfast and at the snack bar was excellent. The only improvement food wise could be more options for children and fussy eaters on an evening. Drinks were really nice for an all inclusive, beer was good, wine was nice, bottles of cava and they always had jugs of Sangria and a few cocktails made up to help yourself to aswell as self serve soft drinks of proper Coca Cola, Fanta and sprite. Juice and water was always available too. Rooms were so lovely, cleaned to a high standard everyday and a beautiful view from the balcony. Was great to have a small kitchen area and a fridge. Hotel is beautiful, pool was fantastic and a lovely warm temperature. My kids were in the pool for the whole day, everyday. The bar in reception is lovely to sit and have a drink with fantastic views and the rooftop area and jacuzzi is a lovely touch. Was lovely to sit and watch the sun go down and we saw Mount Teidi most days. You are right on a lovely beach area as you step out the hotel and a short stroll into the town of Arguineguín which was so quiet and pretty. A few shops and lots of restaurants if you fancy a meal or drink out. We took a taxi into Puerto Rico (€10) and the ferry back to Arguineguín which was really nice. The spa is a lovely touch, children are allowed in between 10am-12pm. It’s lovely down there, very tranquil and free to use. Kids enjoyed the softplay and the small park area. Animation team work really hard and have various activities on throughout the day and there is evening entertainment including a mini disco. We found it nice to sit outside and have a drink on an evening so didn’t really watch any entertainment. You did have to get up early to get sunbeds but we did visit in half term. The only thing we found difficult was there was a high number of very rude/miserable guests which I think was more of a cultural difference, people are not very polite and they just push in front of you or push past you on the stairs. As an overly polite person this bothered me but it is nothing on the hotel and not something they can control. Thank you Bull Dorado for a wonderful holiday.

The entertainment staff truly put in a great effort to keep guests engaged and entertained, creating a vibrant atmosphere. The hotel itself is wonderful, with consistently good food. The staff members are very attentive and work diligently to maintain cleanliness and a welcoming appearance at all times. Overall, their hard work contributes significantly to a positive guest experience.

Arrived to a warm welcome and very knowledgeable staff. The room was really clean and was well laid out. Travelling with my friend we have separate rooms and so normally as solo traveller's always get the pokey little rooms. This one was very spacious and had loads of wardrobe space and a nice seating area, including the balcony. The Food was so good, with lots of choice - I am a strict celiac and found the food labelling really good - and the lovey freshly baked rolls in the morning were a real treat. We loved the pool area / the bar and the beach. The Spa was a lovely surprise We never go any where twice but will make an exception for Bull Dorado and intend to visit again in May next year. What makes this hotel so special is: The size of the rooms The great food The cleanliness and without doubt the nicest and friendliest staff we have experienced - Well done.

This hotel is exceptionally good, The rooms are big, spacious, only fault is tv , only put on while getting ready for night out, it’s mainly in German , Food is fantastic, tasty and have excellent choices in the main restaurant. There is a pool bar , which serve food also, if your all inclusive then can have anything on the menu free, my partner got a steak , which they bring out on a hot stone for you to cook. Disco opens at 8pm until midnight. Staff are very friendly and nice. They have a spa area on lower level which again is free, you can get beach towels from here € 10 each to hire , don’t need to take back until holiday is finished then they give €9 back as long as you have kept receipt, you can also change the for € 1 still get your €9 back at end all in all a fantastic holiday and will definitely come back again. Stayed here in August as a family of 9. The hotel itself was well maintained, apart from the really slow lifts. The reception staff were always helpful and spoke great English. The staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful. Have to mention the entertainment team who were always welcoming, remembered all our names and really welcomed the older children to all the activities on offer. The pool area was good and the kids loved the foam party and inflatable afternoon as well as the running mat. For us the food in the main restaurant was just average, we never went hungry as there was always something to eat, but it just became very repetitive and lacked in some areas like deserts and fruit choices. The pool snack bar was brilliant, fresh food cooked all the time. The pizzas were yummy and the wedges were amazing. We were also big fans of the steak on a hot stone. The location of the hotel isn’t great if you like to have a walk about and explore. There were no shops to walk to at night as it’s just a quiet fishing village. The evening entertained is inside, we didn’t end up watching any as it was cramped, hot and hard to seat all 9 of us. Would have been so much better if it was outside. Would I return to this hotel? No, it’s not the worst hotel I have been to and we all enjoyed it but for us the evening entertainment being inside and the location put us off returning.
