Garden Villas

Stayed here for 9 days, knew it wasn't going to be the ritz but it's clearly had no inves**ent for a long time. Pool cleaned every other day so can get a bit manky, decking around the filter is broken, outdoor furniture digs in your legs, cockroaches coming out of cupboards, bucket under the sink. The worst was the dishonesty. 2 days before check out a beach towel we had been issued was taken by the cleaner for washing and not returned. We were then charged 500 rupees for an old beach towel they insisted we had taken and proceeded to show us in the book that the sheets were changed 2 days ago which could possibly mean they picked the towel up with it but they were having none of it. Well we were going to leave them the deposit of 3000 rupees as a tip but they can whistle for it. On moving to our next absolutely stunning accommodation and unpacking I found my brand new Witches charm bracelet, which was hand made for my birthday, was also missing so if you see staff sporting a new black and purple Witches charm bracelet you know they are a thief. There were also occasions dodgy looking men were looking in and talking to each other on the beach that several of the guests clocked, we took pictures. There is zero security after about 4pm when they go home. Also we were asked if we would apar**ent to accommodate somebody else 2 days after we arrived. Book elsewhere, really, best bit about here was lennards shop over the road

Stayed here for 9 days, when we arrived everything seemed ‘fine’. After a few days we noticed the cracks, mold in all the rooms, dirty furniture, dead cockroaches in the utensils cupboards. Everything is old, moldy and in need of a revamp. The ladies that ran it seemed very lovely and cleaned everyday/made our beds/ gave us fresh washing towels. When we left, the ladies wanted to check our rooms so we could receive our deposits back. After they checked they insisted we had stolen one of there beach towels (these were also old and didn’t feel clean when we received them) - we are a family of 5 and had our own towels) Between the 3 of them they spoke in a different language and got very irate and charged us for the missing towel that were not sure we even got. Honestly before this we were happy to leave the deposit we had given as a tip to say thank you for looking after our room - even though we were unhappy about the state of the place. But after looking through other reviews it feels this isn’t the first time they’ve pulled something like this. I would avoid this place unless you are only looking for a crash stop.

Vorsicht, betrügerisches Verhalten der Unterkunft Garden Villas, Mauritius.Mein Mann und ich hatten im Oktober für 5 Tage das Apar**ent mit 1 Schlafzimmer im Erdgeschoss gebucht und bezahlt.Bei Ankunft war dieses Zimmer wie es in der Buchung beschrieben war nicht verfügbar.Der Pool war wegen Reparaturarbeiten leer.Die Rezeption war inkompetent und unfreundlich,das ganze Haus heruntergekommen.Wir haben diese schreckliche Unterkunft sofort wieder verlassen.Vergeblich haben wir versucht Schadensersatz für die bezahlte Buchung und Rückerstattung wegen Nichterfüllung der Buchungsbedingungen zu bekommen. Wir raten dringend von der Buchung dieser Unterkunft ab.

Emplacement excellent, les pieds dans l’eau avec une vue magnifique le matin au réveil (le reste de la journée aussi). Literie correcte dans notre appartement le Géranium. Propre, nettoyé tous les jours. Agencement un peu vieillissant mais correct pour des vacances sauf si votre objectif c’est du 5 étoiles. Wifi parfait. Accueil agréable On y retournera si notre route repasse par l’île Maurice
