Laguna Beach Hotel & Spa

This Hotel is much better than its rating. The staff are amazing, they cannot do enough for you especially the Bar and Restaurant Manager (Avi) - went more than out his way to accomodate our needs. The travel rep (Rama) was more than attentive supporting our requirements and assisting where necessary and always available if required. The rooms were cleaned daily and you can have fresh towels daily if requested. It is quite a small hotel but has everything you need for a quiet relaxing holiday, great value for money - we will definitely return soon.

The hotel staff are amazing and make this hotel. From the smiley omelette chef, waitresses, bar staff and cleaners. The reception are very professional and always solve any issues. There was a good selection of drinks on the inclusive menu but you could pay for other drinks. The food was varies every night. I am vegetarian and found something but found one night there was a lack of warm food for me to choose from. The hotel is quiet and very relaxed and a great place to relax, unfortunately one night there was a large group of boys, who where very loud as shouted and ignored all the rules but as said they where there 1 night so didn't ruin the stay. It was advertised they had aquacise and volley ball but there was never any. There was evening entertainment 4 nights out of 7 and it was enjoyable to watch the dancers and singers. The beach was ok but nothing to shout about but again pool was nice to swim in and relax. The free glass bottom boat to the island was a disappointment. All you saw was dead Coral and no fish and the island beach was full of grass and sea**** and again no sea life seen when snorkeling. If you book any trips see Ben who sells the beach wraps for 200 ruppes on the beach. He will organise anything at a very good deal. The hotel rep and beach hut are expensive for trips. I booked some also through trip advisor. The rooms were cleaned daily and you can have fresh towels daily if requested. The waiters most night where quick to take drink orders and clear plates and again were very polite, happy and friendly. The spa I didn't use as thought it was pricey. Overall I thought the hotel was lovely and would stay again.

We have just spent 2 weeks at the Laguna beach and we were very happy with the hotel, food and staff. This is Mauritius on a budget, but the we absolutely loved it. It's is in the middle of nowhere but if you are happy with a small friendly 3 star hotel you will not be disappointed.

I would say the Hotel is not as advertised!. The hotel is 'tired" around the edges but clean .The staff were amazing and there was always a good variety of food available with several theme nights. There was daily entertainment at the pool and each evening by the team. It was our 25th Wedding Anniversary and the staff did us a surprise celebration dinner which was wonderful. Also a cake.

I've been a regular at Laguna Hotel for quite some time now, and every visit feels like coming home. What keeps me coming back, apart from the beautiful surroundings, is undoubtedly the incredible staff. Their warmth and genuine care create a welcoming atmosphere that's hard to find elsewhere. A special shoutout to Videsh and Avisen, who go above and beyond to make every moment memorable. Not only are they masters at mixing up delicious cocktails, but their infectious laughter add an extra layer of joy to the experience. It's these personal touches that truly make Laguna feel like more than just a hotel – it's a place where you're treated like family.

It was our first time in Mauritius, but definitely not the last. There is few factors which made our holiday special and unforgettable. Laguna Beach Hotel is a lovely, cozy hotel with fantastic views and amazing pool area. The scenery is breathtaking! Also our rep, Rama, was always available and extremely helpful. Same as all the staff in Laguna Beach - they sorted everything what we asked for. Generally, Mauritian people are by far most friendly people we came across. Thank you Rama, thank you Laguna Beach Hotel and thank Mauritius for our great Anniversary trip!

Great hosts who are friendly and accommodating.The food was also deliciously prepared.The fish dishes taste great every time. Requests for items not on the menu were fulfilled. Really enjoyed my week at Laguna beach. The bath towels need to be changed to thicker ones . Otherwise no complaints.

They canceled our reservation four days before check-in, without any explanation. I mention that this reservation was paid and was made many months before (more precisely from June of last year). And it is not a singular situation. There are others who have experienced the same thing. Canceling older reservations has already become a practice in this hotel. Because of this hotel, I had very big problems because in three days you cannot find a similar accommodation at a decent price. They caused me many problems, stress and additional costs. The competent authorities in Mauritius should hold them accountable for the incorrect and deceptive practices that the people at this hotel use and because of which the tourists who come from tens of thousands of kilometers away suffer Shame on Laguna Beach Hotel&Spa! I don't want to give even one point, but unfortunately it's not possible, Avoid this hotel!

The hotel is in an isolated fishing village. Everything is an hour's drive away. The rooms were small, smelly and stuffy, there was no space for clothes and the bathrooms were not in their best shape. The cleaning amounted to the bed being made and thats it. Floors dirty. Bugs everywhere. Some of our items were stolen, the hotel staff couldn't (or wouldn't) help at all. I think the 3 star rating is a bit high for the level of accommodation and cleanliness. The pool area was lovely and the bar was nice. The view of the mountain and the ocean was breathtaking. They offer a 3 hour boat trip to Ile de Cerf. The food is buffet with lots of options - delicious. We had a lovely time simply because we were with an amazing group of people. It is a hit and miss.
