Hotel Panorama

This is a strange hotel. On the approach, it looks very tired and shabby. This could be offputting because once inside, it is very clean and the air is perfumed, appropriate for Grasse. However, the lobby is full of eclectic stuff which is not really coordinated. There is a lift and the room is normal with a balcony. The Ensuite is clean but could do with an update. Breakfast is ok for France and is in a separate room next to the hotel. Apart from checking in we did not see any hotel staff. You pay on arrival!! The main point about this hotel by far is the location close to the centre of Grasse. Grasse is extremely hilly and any other hotel that I saw would entail walking up and down steep hills. That's why I rated the hotel as very good, I thought it was better than average because of its location and cleanliness.

The room was booked for me so I could stay to photograph a wedding. All contact details and the card used to pay for it were theirs not mine. The room itself was basic but fine. Comfy bed, clean sheets. Asked if breakfast on wedding morning could be added to bill. Sure no problem. Then had a couple of car rides to the venue (had asked for a taxi, but hotel offered to do it) , once again I said could you add to bill. I was having a slight drama because, on dmy first trip abroad in three years, my bank had stopped my card!! I had spoken to them but they says it might take 48 hours to come back on, so I had literally 20 Euro to my name in cash! I knew the bride really well, she knew my card had been stopped and that the hotel had stepped in to assist me. My train back to Paris was very early Sunday. I needed to leave at 5.30am. I asked the hotel to book me a taxi, as my card appeared to be working again. One again hotel offered. On Sunday morning when previously friendly manager appeared, he asked me to pay for all the extras. I gave him the cash I had, (I was about 15 euro short, as I had only got enough on my at that point to pay the train fare) and told him he could contact the person on the booking for the rest as we had agreed. So I got in the car and he started driving me to Cannes. On the way, he suddenly turned off the road into a dark and deserted car park and told me if I didn't give him the rest of the money he was leaving me there to get a bus. It was pitch dark and deserted. I tried calling the bride three times but she (unsurprisingly didn't answer). The guy threw my case out of the back onto the road. I was very frightened and in floods of tears. I rummaged in my bag after ten minutes of arguing and found a crumpled ten euro. He decided to complete the journey for this. In essence, he threatened and frightened a single woman traveling alone for the sake of ten Euro which he could of called the person who booked the room to give him. He said he couldn't do that as the booking was made through an app. But you still have to give contact details and a card number, so that was a lie. Frankly, I cannot advise anyone to stay in this hotel. The guy had picked me up after the wedding, he had every opportunity to speak to me about this, but instead he decided a bit of terrorising a woman was better. I was in shock and in floods of tears at the station where luckily a much nicer person bought me a drink and made sure I was alright on the train. I should have called the police but I was so scared I just wanted out of the car. Please take care if you stay here as a woman alone.

From the outside, the hotel doesn't look like much. But it is excellently located, in the heart of the city, everything can be done on foot, which is a plus in a city on the hillside! The lobby is a bit narrow, but the rooms with balcony are very well arranged. The view is superb. Especially, take a room on the front. At the back they give on a wall... Breakfast is sumptuous!

❌A FERMER !! NE SURTOUT PAS VENIR !!! FUYEZ ❌ Je ne trouverais jamais les mots pour décrire la douleur qu’a été ce séjour. Chambre d’une immondice totale. Cafard, excrément, poils, tâches étaient au rendez vous. Je ne souhaitais pourtant pas partager ma chambre. Dommage pour une ville aussi charmante d’accueillir un établissement aussi peu recommandable. Comme vous l’avez compris ne vous y risquez pas. Les maisons hantés ont de la concurrence

Vergane glorie, groezelig, oude meuk. Versleten vieze vloerbedekking. Entree is al jaren niet schoon gemaakt, planten allemaal dood . Poppenkast. Grootste deel verhuurd aan arme locals. Begrijp niet dat deze accommodatie überhaupt door organisaties wordt aangeboden. Ga er eerste eens langs Booking, TripAdvisor etc Grote container voor de deur om rotzooi in te laden!

Les oreillers, couverts de cheveux, n'avaient pas été lavées (J'ai retourné les housses car les oreillers étaient ignobles). La chambre était en travaux. Les images sur le site web ne correspondent pas vraiment à l'hôtel. En prime, on m'a fait payer 2 fois le petit déjeuner (vraiment petit).

Hôtel vétuste , bruyant , salle de bain catastrophique, radiateur rouillé et sale. Une seule couverture pour le lit et trouée. Plinthes des couloirs décoller J’ai fait beaucoup d’hôtel mais alors là c’est honteux.

Passons sur la déco de mauvais goût, où rien ne semble avoir bougé depuis 50 ans ! Hôtel simplement vétuste et sale, sent mauvais. Hygiène déplorable dans la sale de bain : mur de douche tellement moisi qu’il est troué par la moisissure, des cheveux dans le trou de la baignoire. Tout est vieux et d’origine, support de sèche cheveux se décroche du mur… Couloirs et ascenseur sales et odeur immonde. Salle de petit dej avec des gamelles d’animaux pare terre, collerette de chien qui traîne près de la nourriture, rien de rassurant dans les aliments proposés… Le site internet est un mensonge. Comment un tel établissement peut rester ouvert dans état pareil ! Une honte !

Nella camera il quadro era appoggiato per terra perchè la corda di sostegno era rotta. Capelli neri lunghi nel letto anche se le lenzuola erano pulite. Coperte di lana oramai lise e impolverate. Asciugamani uno era sporco di nn pulito. Dietro il letto fili elettrici non chiusi allo scoperto. Il sapone per la doccia ho dovuto chiederlo perché era finito.veramente un disastro.
