High Season Farm Luxury Cottages

Upon our arrival at High Season Farm, set in the idyllic Hemel en Aarde Valley near Hermanus, it was immediately apparent that we had stumbled upon something truly special. The farm epitomises luxury and privacy, with each 4-star self-catering cottage providing a secluded haven. Ours came fully equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay, including a private barbecue area, ensuring our visit was both relaxing and indulgent. The addition of inverters in every cottage meant uninterrupted power, allowing our evenings to be filled with warmth and joy. The panoramic mountain vistas greeted us each morning, setting the tone for days spent exploring the child-friendly surroundings, complete with Nguni cattle and several farm dams. Our time was beautifully divided between leisurely strolls through the stunning landscape, dips in the swimming pool, and delightful discoveries at every turn. The farm's close proximity to some of South Africa’s premier wine estates added a delightful aspect to our stay. A brief journey to Hermanus allowed for remarkable land-based whale watching, an experience we won't soon forget. The thoughtful inclusions, such as 20-channel DStv and complimentary WiFi, meant our downtime was well-spent, whether we fancied a quiet evening or wished to share our experiences with friends and family online. In summary, our stay at High Season Farm was utterly enchanting. It offered the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life, immersing us in the peace and splendour of the Hemel en Aarde Valley. This remarkable place doesn’t just offer accommodation but an experience to be treasured. So much so, that we were compelled to book another visit for December, eager to spend more time in this slice of paradise. High Season Farm is, without doubt, a top choice for those in search of a serene retreat surrounded by luxury.

Such a nice place in the middle of the mountains with nice views. There is a nice pool with playground for the kids. Next to that the houses are very nice, large and clean. They offer breakfast and braai facility which is also good. Last but not least are the people and the possibility to feed the cows and their babies. Which our kids loved! Overall a lovely nice and peacefull stay near Hermanus!

The house was clean, staff friendly, experience was fab!. The kids had a great time feeding the calf and all the farm pets were generally friendly. The rooms were also we kitted. Will definately be going back soon!

Great accommodation, lovely hosts. very central location. Stunning for people with kids, the cows pass right by the little houses and there is a lovely pool and kids play area. Beautiful views of the valley.

We enjoyed the 2 days at High Season Farm. A very peaceful and tranquil place to relax. The view from our cottage was breathtaking, especially with the Nguni cattle grazing around. the farm The valley is beautiful, although recent storms have caused significant damage to the road from the Hermanus turnoff, which is now under repair so expect some minor delays at some spots. Loadshedding was not an issue as the farm is on a backup system for each cottage, Winter will also be enjoyable as every cottage has a combustion fireplace installed.

This is an idyllic farm to stay on, with great restaurants and wine estates to visit all within a few miles of the farm. There is a choice of 7 self catering cottages and we chose Paddock Cottage with a lovely large lounge, 3 bedrooms and a well equipped kitchen. The views and scenery are stunning.

It was a delight staying on a working farm, with stunning views of Babylonstoring Peak. Our living space was large, and well furnished and equipped. We enjoyed our stay very much, and would be very happy to visit again in the future.

From start to finish, the experience i had with High Season Farm was excellent. Jani and her team are amazing. We stayed at the Oak Tree Cottage and had a fabulous time. The location of the Farm is really ideal, 9km away from town. The Farm is well maintained and we loved the peacocks roaming around and the Nguni Cattle we saw on the Saturday morning. We have been recommending this retreat to all our friends and family, and will definitely recommend it to anyone looking at Hermanus as a holiday destination.
