So this was a hotel we stayed at just because it was halfway between destinations and we didn't want to drive that far in one day. Made reservations a year out and everything was fine until we get there and the place looks closed. Turns out it is their quiet day. Never once did I get any notice for the eleven months before the trip that I was arriving on their quiet day. Had no idea what the code was to the lock-box. Fortunately, one of the doors was open and so I could get online and see my emails and there, sent that very morning at 1130, was the one and only time they told me that it was their quiet day and here is the code. No decent restaurants around. I was looking forward to eating at their restaurant but it was closed. Had I known that it was their quiet day I booked on, I would have changed to another place which is probably why they didn't tell me until it was too late. This place sits in the middle of a small town and is a good distance from the Autobahn. Breakfast was adequate but that's about it. Would not stay here again.

Service agréable et souriant prêt à rendre service. Escalope viennoise très bonne. Bonnes portions. Produits locaux. Ferme tôt. Samedi réservation obligatoire. Menus uniquement en allemand . La salle est un peu sombre liée à la décoration.

Wir haben uns auf dem Rückweg aus dem Süden nach Grebenstein „verirrt“ und sind überaus positiv überrascht. Das Hotel hält kostenfreie Parkplätze zur Verfügung, die Zimmer sind komplett renoviert und äußerst komfortabel, der Empfang herzlich und zuvorkommend. Und das Restaurant - ein Traum! Empfehlenswert vor allem das Hirsch-Carpaccio, der Rehrücken und die Käseplatte, dazu ein 2015er Bordeaux (Jean Pierre Moueix) und vorher der Aperitif des Hauses… Herrlich. Und das alles bei Vollmond!!! Wir kommen wieder, werden eine Gruppenreise mit den eBikes organisieren und eine Wanderung mit Pedro und seinem Esel einplanen. Darauf freuen wir uns schon jetzt!
