I recently stayed at a Days Inn hotel and, unfortunately, had a disappointing experience with the front office staff. The individual lacked basic customer service skills and consistently displayed a rude attitude. It is perplexing to me how someone with such a demeanor could be employed in a customer-facing role. My husband, who is usually jovial, attempted to lighten the atmosphere, but the staff member remained unresponsive and even gave disapproving looks. It is disheartening to witness such poor representation of the company through an employee's attitude. We stayed for two nights, so it was not a one-time occurrence. Seeing other reviews about the same person, I realize that I would have chosen a different hotel had I known. As we were in town for a family emergency, the last thing anyone wants during that time is to encounter someone rude.
