Grand Hotel Bastiani

The hotel itself is decent and the staff is nice. Breakfast is very good but the hotel is located into a low traffic zone and it's hard to park and the ac cannot be adjusted forcing you into a 15 degrees celsius freeze. The nightmare began after writing a 5 star review on booking. 10 min after writing it I got contacted on my mobile by an unregistered number, claiming to be from the hotel threating me of a fine for a cigarette mark on the carpet if not removed (neither me nor my wife smoke). After contacting booking customer service the issue escalated and I started to receive intimidating messages on wa to the point of having to block them. Scary to say the least. Save yourself sleepless nights and book somewhere else.

Grand hotel Bastiani is just cozy and elegant and you're welcomed by a young and helpful staff. I've been traveling to Grosseto on a monthly basis for years now and I think I have stayed in all the facilities in the neighborhood.. Honestly this is the one where I found myself more at ease, rooms are spotless, spacious and tastefully furnished, above all they are quiet, which is unthinkable inside the walls, trust me. The breakfast is wonderful, rich and greedy. Combines the variety of the English breakfast with the flavors of the Maremma enriched by fresh fruit, homemade cakes and freshly baked croissants. Don't forget to enjoy teh espresso at the bar which wakes you up in one sip! I must highlight the politeness and the elegant availability of the Director, who managed to satisfy the particular needs of my elderly parents with whom I was traveling. Not to mention the discreet but punctual presence of the staff on duty from early morning until late at night. location is great, perfect to explore the city on foot and just 10 minuts drive to the beach. I will definitely return there at the end of the month and for the next trips. I'm so happy to have found my oasis of peace and kindness in which to rest and regenerate during my daring journeys in the Maremma.

A Grosseto per un evento familiare abbiamo soggiornato in questo bell'hotel, situato in pieno centro, a due passi dal duomo. Elegante, antico ma non vecchio, molto confortevole. Ottima prima colazione, dotato di una macchinetta che sforna pancake caldi, cosa mai vista prima. Personale edicato e disponibile, in particolare Bianca alla reception ci ha accolto con tanta gentilezza. Consigliatissimo

La bellezza di un viaggio sta anche nel luogo dove si soggiorna,specialmente se si visita la Maremma dove,data la quantità di cose da vedere,sono necessari molto tempo ma soprattutto molte energie ! Rientrare dunque la sera in un ambiente confortevole e piacevole é indispensabile per la buona riuscita del soggiorno...a maggior ragione se a viaggiare é una persona celiaca come la sottoscritta,si apprezza ancora di più la cortesia di chi ci ospita poiché hanno cortesemente provveduto a procurarmi un'abbondante colazione senza glutine . Molto disponibili e attenti per il pranzo/cena ovviamente tutto Gluten free 😍 Lo consiglio vivamente.

Hotel datato ma con tutte le qualità del passato, dalla centralità - centro storico a due passi dal Duomo, 200 mt, zona pedonale, alla spaziosita' delle camere, dagli arredi agli spazi comuni, belli raffinati curati. Certo, le chiavi sono in bronzo con tanto di nappina... Nella stanza 202 di notte si avvertiva un gocciolo intermittente, ma la colazione ripaga questo fastidio perchè buona, suntuosa, fresca.

Un albergo che conserva il suo charme, dagli interruttori della luce alle chiavi ancora non elettroniche. Buona la colazione, servizio molto curato. Nota dolente il parcheggio, essendo noi arrivati di mercoledì sera ed essendoci il mercato il giorno dopo, abbiamo dovuto parcheggiare nel parcheggio disponibile indicatoci dall' albergo (Amiata), dieci minuti a piedi! Credo che per gli ospiti dell'albergo si dovrebbe trovare una soluzione più comoda, essendo un disagio provocato dall'albergo. Non funzionante la luce rossa dell'interruttore "do non disturb" in camera.
