VL Hotel Boutique by Rotamundos

Very nice property with many dining options around the area. Nice neighborhood. The only thing to consider is how loud the area gets. We were up till 2 am because the had a loud rock band at the restaurant right in front of the hotel. Other than that , very cool play to stay at when visiting Guadalajara.

Not the expected room, noisy, mosquitos, low quality amenities, no water bottles, only one towel, but otherwise nice staff and ok for a couple of days.

Room number 2 is located next to the reception and also face the street so is really noisy. The room is ok but next to the hotel there is a bar so that room is not quiet at all.

I really liked it.

Loved the combination of old and new; hummingbirds at the feeder; hot water in shower; cold drinking water in fridge; pleasant staff at front desk. Would like more flat surfaces in the room to place personal items.

Solid 3 star with unique local feel. Very clean and spacious room, and unless you will be partaking in the very active nightime festivities airplugs would be a good investment. The roof top terrace is a nice place to hang out and all the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful.

Fantastic! I had heard of boutique hotels but never ventured to stay at one. This hotel only had 6 rooms! So the staff was friendly and personable. The artwork on the walls was beautiful and escaping to the roof top was great! The place was modern and welcoming. The beds were thick and comfy. I was in room one, which had its own patio. Room was clean with plenty of room. It too had real art displayed on its walls. What made this place even more fantastic was its proximity to Chapultepec Ave. It was not even half a block away. Quietly nestled around small bars and eateries. This was a great place to lay your head. In the mornings you could just wake up and go to Chai Café, only a few minutes away. You could walk the avenue after having dinner and look at the merchandise that street vendors had on display. Never have I felt more safe in Mexico than I did here in the Chapultepec Area. After having more than a few drinks I walked right back to my room. This place gave me a great sense of security.
