Small hotel and super quiet (what I loved the most) right in the centro and across the church! Easy to walk to many restaurants

Beautiful hotel! Location is great for exploring the city. Super clean and the included breakfast was very good and just a short walk away. Would definitely stay again if we return.

The Hotel is in an excellent location, right in the heart of town, within walking distance of its main attractions. However, the Hotel's amenities advertisement is deceiving. There is no Restaurant at this premises. It offers breakfast at a nearby facility reachable on a short walk, the food there is good and the staff very friendly, however they do not offer juices nor bottled beverages, nor ice. In Hotel the amenities they list “Coffee/tea in a common area” this is not true, this for us was a major disappoin**ent, since the breakfast opens until 8:30 am and there is no coffee maker in the room, and we get up early and are used to drinking coffee then. Back at the Hotel, the rooms are very clean, they do a good job of upkeeping the installations. The hotel staff are friendly, but they are not eager to go beyond their duties to satisfy their guests. They list a Terrace in the amenities, it is nice, it oversees the square and the nearby attractions, this is a great place to spend some time in the evenings enjoying the nice weather and the surrounding sights, however it is not equipped properly, no adequate furniture available, also they do not provide any food/beverages services to it, we had to provide our own and improvise our seating accommodations, I thinks there is a great opportunity for management to provide a pleasant experience for their guests.

It was perfect. Lots of shops, restaurants and very close to funicular. All within walking distance. Stayed 2 nights in January 2024. Would highly recommend.

Perfect location. Easy comms. Historic building with stunning views out the window. A little noisy at night but we didn’t mind.

Hotel de La Paz is one of several hotels owned and operated by the same seemingly family-owned company “Grupo Leyenda”. Many of the staff have been working in this group of hotels for 7-10 years, and they all know each other. That turns out to be quite helpful because the feeling of being cared for remains consistent, at least in the two properties I’ve stayed in. This particular hotel is right on the main square and three of its rooms have views overlooking the square, including the Basilica which is illuminated beautifully at night. Noise from the square is periodic and dies down by 10pm or 11pm on Friday and Saturday night. The windows are something like 12 to 15 feet tall and have big wooden shutters to give you that blackout feel. The beds are firm and very comfortable. And in the cold months these rooms are ideal due to the sun coming in and warming the floor. 48 degree nights doesn’t sound bad until you realize there is no heating, so that sun in these rooms does just the trick! I will always choose this place when I come back! Special mention to Gina, Oscar, Miguel-angel, Anna and Fernando and Isak. There is another staff person at the front desk here at lot and I am sorry I forgot her name. Guadalupe cleans the rooms and Rosario and Raul tend the dining room for the breakfast cooked by Antonio. The team is amazing and they really make all the difference.
