Steeped in history, elegant, perfect location, excellent menu. La Playa de Cortes is aging well. Glitches due to age are minor.

This is a quaint, rustic hotel that apparently is very popular for wedding receptions. It reminds me of American Western movies/tv shows that depict Mexican/Spanish style haciendas. The staff was very helpful, and provided any assistance I needed. Most of the people where bi-lingual, so communications was not a problem. The Hotel Playa de Cortes is located in an isolated area with beach side vistas. When there are no wedding receptions, it is very quiet. Although the rooms are old, the beds are comfortable. Absent was a coffee make, or a mini fridge. Would have been a nice touch to a pleasant stay.

I have been coming here for 8 years. It never disappoints. The quietness is very important because I come here to relax and gather my thoughts. I couldn’t be any happier.

The place is to old nees a remodalation to meet the need of today travelers every thing is okd no receptacle in the room wifi very slow I'll never come back to this place

Had a bad experience with front office staff not very friendly manager! This will be my 3rd year staying at Guaymas/San Carlos and will never stay there again! I will make sure my friends and family know that..!!

The room was very old and not updated the window in the bathroom was broken the lights had mold in them the light was pulled out of the wall the light fixture. There was very limited menu

The service at the hotel was top notch, however it did not make up for the filthiness of the property, including our room. I paid extra for a junior suite and it was in disrepair and appeared to not have been cleaned in ages. There were hot Cheetos handprints on the walls, stains, dust in every corner of the floor, furniture and ceiling. The bedding had been washed and the bathroom was very clean, but everything else was not. The view from the room was amazing and that was the best part of our stay. They also have a super cool water park that my daughter really enjoyed. Overall, This whole property needs an upgrade, I give it a 2 star max.

Overall it was an amazing experience. Very clean and the staff was very polite and helpful. If I had to complain about anything it would have been the shower heads are bad and spray water all over the place. I still loved my stay and will definitely be back with more friends.
