Bo Yin Hotel (Li River Secluded Hotel) Our visit to Guilin was to spend time with my wife’s large family and we twice stayed at the Li River Secluded hotel, for a total of 7 nights. Our expectations of a hotel experience are high, so we avoid using American chain hotels when possible. The Li River Secluded hotel more than met those expectations by combining exceptional customer service with a laid back, but luxurious guest experience. On arrival, we were offered a room upgrade. The upgrade accommodation was located on the ground floor, so this did not appeal to us until we were shown the room … the suite was spacious and tastefully furnished with a Zen motif that included a ceremonial tea table. Both my wife and I practice daily yoga, so the ample floor space immediately appealed to us. A room-width picture window featured a view of the Li River Lake and its pair of pagodas. Remote-controlled drapes and shears sound-proofed and eliminated light from the room when closed. A buffet daily breakfast on the 8th (top) floor was included and featured a good selection of both Chinese and Western options. We had family commitments that prevented us from eating dinner at the restaurant, but my wife hosted an afternoon tea session in the restaurant for some of her friends and the tea and pastries were excellent. In addition, fresh fruit was placed in the room every day, and the room refrigerator was refreshed daily with water, sodas, and snacks. The hotel was generally maintained in pristine condition and effected the highest standards of cleanliness. This applied to all the facilities apart from a small exercise room on the 5th floor. This consisted of a set of barbells (no bench), a fixed weight station (functional), and 2 treadmills, neither of which functioned properly … that said, I did use the weight station and the patio outside of the exercise room for yoga on a couple warmer days. There was also a guest laundry on the 5th floor which my wife used on one occasion. The customer service attitude in Chinese hotels is generally an improvement on what we are accustomed to in North America, but at the Bo Yin Hotel it’s exceptional. This means that English language speakers (I’m Canadian and my wife is Chinese by birth) would experience no problem in addressing any of the front desk, maid, or restaurant personnel. For those who prefer to order take-out food, a robotic delivery service is used, a feature that tends to fascinate any child you might be traveling with. Sean Bennett

Amazing hotel, I guess it has been renovated recently . The room is magnetic, and the staff can speak English quite well . Swimming pool, jacuzzis (3 of them), sauna and steam room, excellent gym with table tennis 🏓 equipments makes this property and excellent place to stay. Breakfast was excellent as I am a huge fan of Chinese food, not much of western food, but there are kids station, bread, coffee (good one) , sausage and bacon, and several other options of pastries such as croissants and danish. Thanks XiaoWu小伍 for the amazing service guiding us around the rooftop, taking pictures of us, and giving assistance providing all the important information on how to enjoy the hotel facilities . the only bad thing is the costumers , a huge amount of them smoke everywhere although there are signs saying the whole property is forbidden to smoke. The hotel should remove the ashtrays in front of the elevators . Unfortunately it is a problem in China when you go to hotels and makes very unpleasant the shared ventilation bringing smoking smell into other people’s room.

Our room had a magnificent view of the Li River. The sightseeing spots in Guilin City were all in walkable distance of the hotel. The breakfast had a good amount of variety and you can even get the typical Guilin Rice Noodles if you want. The service was over the top (everyone was super friendly and attentive). If you have any questions the staff replies to your messages within minutes. We were asked if the breakfast is alright or if they should prepare a more western one for us. They probably also saw our bin filled with empty water bottles and provided us 1.5L bottles for free 😂 Will most certainly recommend this hotel to my friends and family and would also come myself again!

The hotel environment is very good! The hotel is close to Zizhou Island Park and across the river from Elephant Trunk Hill Park. The hotel has an excellent location, a few minutes away from the city center. The reception of the hotel is warm and polite, and the housekeeper Li Jie is attentive. I will stay again next time I come to Guilin

My family of three loved this hotel. It looks exactly like the pictures. It was such a beautiful peaceful place to return to each night. We appreciated the coffee available in the seating area. It's located right in the middle of shopping and restaurants. City ebikes and bicycles were within walking distance too. If we return to Guilin, we will definitely stay here again.

The location of the hotel is really good. On the right side of the door is the best rice noodle shop I have been in Guilin for 7 days. Facing the pedestrian street at the back, there is a Little Red Riding Hood selling net red glutinous rice, and duck intestines for 10 yuan and 60 skewers, which is better than anywhere else They are all cheap, the hotel room is very internet-famous design, the mattress can sleep on anything, there is an open-air garden restaurant for check-in on the 7th floor, the things used on the 7th floor seem to be a bit old. But the price/performance ratio is definitely OK in the vicinity. The old woman went to the night market on Bali 3rd Road starting at 5 o'clock, and went to the Heishan Morning Market in the morning to buy some New Year's goods. The hotel in the city center is very satisfied. By the way, the self-driving car also reimburses the parking fee, 30 a day.

A great hotel. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. Most of the staff can speak some English. The hotel also offers a great variety of activities, both at the hotel and around Guilin; namely pool, Chinese calligraphy, making dumplings, city walks and so on. The hotel is situated centrally to many scenic areas, restaurants and other tourist sites. Our room was spacious, clean and the bed was very comfortable. Will definitely stay here again on our next visit to Guilin! I highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling through Guilin.

Just next to the pedestrian street, there is a parking lot next to the intersection, which is more convenient. The hotel was fully booked during the holidays, and we were given a free upgrade to a suite. The room was very large, with a large bathtub, and large windows. You could see a viaduct at night, and there were fireworks. It looked very beautiful. The room facilities are relatively new, and the shampoo products are relatively easy to use. I rarely use these in hotels. I tried them today and they are good~ The overall service is still very good ~

The hotel room is clean and tidy, of suitable size and has a beautiful environment; The hotel has a good location and convenient transportation. It is located in the city center of Guilin, not far from various attractions and can basically be reached on foot; The ladies at the front desk of the hotel provide warm and thoughtful service, especially Sister Xiaoyue at the front desk, who is even more considerate and provides free breakfast. I would like to express my gratitude. The hotel's breakfast has many varieties and tastes good. It is worth recommending. It is a very good choice for a trip to Guilin, and the Borman Hotel is worth recommending.

The location is quiet in the bustle, right on the East and West Alley. It's not easy to find it for the first time. If you take a taxi, you have to drag your luggage a certain distance. The old office building was renovated and has an elevator. The service environment is good. The public space in the lobby is large, the book selection is good, and there are many books available for borrowing. But few people living here can read. The interior is relatively compact, but adequate. If the price is below 300 during the peak period, the price/performance ratio is not bad. The alley rice noodle shop and Hu Ji Tang Shui shop downstairs both taste good and are worth recommending! Erliang braised vegetable rice noodles are 5 yuan, delicious and affordable. Mung bean paste is also 5 yuan, and the bean paste has a high concentration. When you walk to the main street, there is the Shen Braised Rice Noodles, which is also a time-honored brand. The Shenxian Tofu Ice Noodles next to it is 4 yuan and tastes great. Except that the summer is too hot and humid and the tickets for travel are too expensive, Guilin is livable.

Great location which is convenient for the walking street near by and other places such as the temple. It is not a “staycation” type of hotel, rather more of a place you would drop your bags and head out to walk around😊 The hotel is very basic and perfect for that over night stop. The staff are very friendly and there are people who can help organize tours etc. It’s not overly loud and the room is very neat, spacious and clean. Lovely little tea set in the window. For a long stay it may not be ideal for most, as from the rooms there is no view, but for a overnight stop or just as a place to sleep, it is certainly convenient and great value 😊 Ps a taxi cannot physically take you right there as it is in the middle of a walking street. But they can drop you very close.

Hotel location is really good. I will suggest that one should book queen bedroom for fantastic view. Guest bedroom view is not so great. But Guest bedroom is also great to stay if you want an economical room. Elephant trunk hill is from walking distance, zhengyang pedestrian street is just on the bak side of hotel, ludi flute cave is on 10 minutesby taxi, two river four lake park is on walking distance.

Guilin Trip was amazing! The Gangshe Hotel (Guilin Two Rivers and Four Lakes Xiangshan Scenic Spot) is within the city where you can find around the famouse Guilin Food and choose the best food you can see --- located just at the side of the hotel - the busy street foods, big and small restaurant, shopping mall, near to the Guilin river trip, to the park, and if you are foreigner like me who still love Mc Donalds and/or KFC but alaso love street food, its around the hotel. The hotel service was nice! they know I am foreigner and they take care the communcation with mix Chinese- English. One of the hotel staff added my wechat and we can talk in translated English - Chinese, which is awesome. They have free tea / coffee from 2:30 to 4 PM, it was nice Latte coffee blended with Chinese snacks. My room is a single bed, enough for a solo DIY traveller's with all the comfortable facilities needed to live comfortably. I suppsoed to believe that the view outside the window is the Elephant trunk or Elephan Hill as seen on the trip.com website, its about 10 minutes away by taxi + traffic. I spend the whole afternoon trekking in the elephant hill, explaining what about the stabbed elephant mountain hahaha. The homestay is located in the old town, so it's not too hard to find! If you rent a car, it is convenient to pick up the car, just next to the Sheraton Hotel! It was originally scheduled to check in at 2 o'clock, but the train arrived more than 7 o'clock. The receptionist immediately helped us handle it and helped us to open the room early.
